What is your most memorable wedding?
Mr and Mrs Renshaw. A Marquee wedding in the height of Summer, June 23rd 2018.
It was 7.30pm, not a cloud in the sky. Mrs Renshaw wanted to make her first dance unique and asked if i could move the speakers outside the marquee. I ALWAYS carry spare speakers in the van (just in case) And within 15 minutes i had setup Additional speakers outside the marquee. Watching Mr and Mrs Renshaw's first dance in the sunset was breathtaking. A wedding i will always remember.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your Suppliers / Vendors as early as possible. You might think that 6 months is a long time, but in reality to have first choice on your preferred suppliers like Catering, Entertainment, Venue dressing etc you need to be planning at least 1 year, perhaps 18 months in advance! ALWAYS pay a booking deposit and insist on a CONTRACT of service! Avoid suppliers that don't require a deposit or won't issue a contract as there is no financial guarantee for you that they will turn up on the day. Its a good to get several quotes but don't leave it too long as most suppliers are juggling 100's of quotes and take the first booking when fronted with a deposit. Finally, (This applies to all suppliers) Don't book the cheapest... its cheap for a reason... why compromise on quality/service for the biggest most memorable day of your life?
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I saw individual personalised napkins for every wedding guest! I've only seen that once.

What makes a romantic first dance?
A unique song that really means something to the couple. As a Professional Wedding DJ you can tell that a song means something deep to a couple when they choose to ignore the popular/fashionable first dance songs and even timeless classics.... opting for unusual or even bespoke songs.
What is your number one floor-filler?
It depends on the age group: For sub 50 Year old's - The Killers - Mr Brightside
For over 50's - Dolly Parton - 9 to 5.
A great floor filler everyone knows the dance to would be The Village People - Y.M.C.A
