Hiring a band is about creating a sense of occasion. Halflight will create an amazing atmosphere at your wedding.
Myself and my fellow bandmates have been playing at weddings since 2006! So we're pretty experienced, but we're also constantly striving to improve everything about the way we do things so we can create the ultimate wedding experience for our couples.
We frequently have couples to visit us in our studio. You'd be welcome to do that - just get in touch!

Halflight deliver awesome parties to happy couples in Bristol, Bath, South Wales and the South West. We’re 100% reliable, professional musicians – and we’ve never missed a gig.
Our sets are filled with hand-picked, dancefloor filling songs to make sure you’ll have a night you’ll never forget.
We’ll provide the lights, the sound, even a DJ service at no extra charge and we’ll learn and perform your first dance song.

What is your most memorable wedding?
Playing a big top festival style wedding at Glastonbury by the stone circle. The couple knew the Eavis family and managed to wrangle a wedding there in a fallow year.

What about your business are you most proud of?
3 of us have known each other since school. We've been in a band together for a LONG time! Still friends!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Regarding the evening party - try to avoid a noise limiter in the venue if possible, they're vibe killers. Also - think about timings of sets to make sure no-one gets bored when the band aren't playing.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A singing bride or groom can be very emotional with the right song.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We often have couples come and visit us in our rehearsal studio in Bristol so they can meet and hear the band. This is such a great way to evaluate and also means that we're not strangers on the day if you hire us. You can book online throughout our website, then we chat about the details of the day - we're pretty much the easiest thing to book for your wedding.
What makes a romantic first dance?
Song choice is everything. But also get some good dance moves down and pepper them in throughout your dance. It always gets a reaction.
What is your number one floor-filler?
All of them!
Which band from the past would you most like to have been part of?
Oh man. So many. Probably Pearl Jam!
What is the soundtrack to your life?
Probably the sound of children complaining.
