What is your most memorable wedding?
A specific moment would have to be whilst I was performing for a couples drinks reception the best man came over to me and said 'the bride's been looking for this version for months'! I was singing a piano version of 'I wanna dance with somebody' by Whitney Houston. Even though I wasn't booked for the couples first dance, the best man asked if I could possibly sing this for their first dance as the song was very close to their heart. It was the Bride's fathers favourite song and he was sadly no longer with them. Without hesitation I accepted. Another moment that is special to me is when I sung 'Arms of the angel' at a church ceremony for the Bride in memory of her mum who couldn't be with them on their special day. There are too many to mention! Every wedding is memorable to me. I always keep in touch with the couple and become friends.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Delicate, Pure, Soulful, Passionate, Uplifting
What about your business are you most proud of?
Everything. Always going above and beyond for the couple to make sure they are happy with their service. My biggest career achievement is in the year of 2019 & 2020 I was nominated in the I Do Magazine Wedding Awards and WON the East Midlands Entertainment Category!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Relax! Don't stress about the little things. Your day will all come together on the day and it will be perfect. Even more perfect than you've ever imagined it will be. Keep to your budget and if prior to your date you have money remaining then you can book or buy other things.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I was lucky to be a part of a Wedding where the couple had a barn owl deliver their rings during their ceremony. Also, at a recent Wedding, the Bride arrived on a horse & carriage!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It's usually (but not always) the bride who contacts me. If I am available we then discuss packages and prices. A updated repertoire will then be emailed to you. I am then required to send out my terms & conditions and ask for a non refundable deposit to secure your booking. An invoice / receipt will then be emailed to you. If the couple sees a song they like on my Repertoire but I haven't got a recording of it on Youtube and they'd like to hear it they are more than welcome to request a preview of this specific song. At random points prior to the wedding day the couple will contact me regarding any questions they have. I offer a personalised service which means the couple have the opportunity to choose every song from my repertoire for their package they have chosen. Song requests are also welcome. I always make sure I know what their song choices are within two months prior to the day. On some occasions if they have their mind set on specific songs some couples choose their song choices at the same time of booking. The outstanding balance is due within 6 weeks of the Wedding date. Finally I get in touch in the week leading up to the day to finalise timings and song choices.
What makes a romantic first dance?
Just by the way the couple are looking at each other whilst holding each other in their arms and dancing to their favourite love song you can tell that that is a romantic first dance. But it can also be romantic in a fun way too!
What is your number one floor-filler?
I've noticed over the years that guests like songs to sing along to... even during the wedding breakfast when they're stuffing their faces with cake! Specific songs are sweet child o' mine and be my baby! It makes me very happy to see them enjoying themselves.
