What is your most memorable wedding?
My first wedding that I did! The bride was amazing, she wanted lots of colour and a quirky look. Her bouquet was made with Sandriana leaves, which gave a star look around the Gerbera, her favourite flowers. All the buttonholes were different colours and the table arrangements were a real splash of colour! I wish I had a good photo of the bouquet though!
What about your business are you most proud of?
I pride myself in the finer details, making sure the style and colour of your dresses and suits are taken into consideration when creating my designs. I love to add personal touches, so don't be afraid to ask if something out of the ordinary can be included.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be true to yourselves, you don't have to follow the trends!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to chat with my couples to get to know them and find out how they see their wedding day, talking through which flowers they like or dislike, then suggesting designs which will bring their vision to life. If my couple likes what we discuss then I produce a detailed quote, once reviewed and agreed a booking fee is then paid to secure the wedding date with me. A further consultation is carried out around 4 weeks prior to the wedding date, to check all the finer details and then payment will be due 3 weeks prior to the wedding date.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Gorgeous textured Echeveria succulents and Roses made with paper sheet music, not in the same bouquet!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
The ones you love, if they are in season!
What is the most romantic flower and why?
The most romantic flower is the one given with love, it doesn't matter what variety it is!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Enjoy them and give them as gifts.
