I don't think I will ever get tired of talking about the dinosaur-themed wedding I did in Nottingham in 2024. I had the most incredible and fun time creating these unique centrepieces (which also roared!) for Amy and Dan, who were dinosaur crazy!

I already created some gorgeous, bright, and vibrant florals for a shark and cacti-themed wedding up in Yorkshire in 2024, which was certainly one for the books!

In 2025, I had a whale of a time creating florals for lots of weddings involving disco balls, and even a spectacular wedding where I made centrepieces using cowboy and biker boots, filled to the brim with flowers, grasses, feathers, plus cacti and succulents.

Oh, and the epic Pokémon-inspired wedding I created! Terrarium centrepieces, the shape of pokeballs filled with the characters, too good not to mention!

Alternative, unique, unconventional, non-traditional and fun!

I love the sustainability element of my business. Being able to provide beautiful and affordable florals which can last a lifetime thanks to the use of the succulents, cacti and airplants (as long as they are looked after) is such a pleasure. I also love that am really able to incorporate peoples loves, passions, hobbies and personalities into their special day.

Don’t be afraid to show your personality through your day! Whether it’s with the song you walk down the aisle to, to favours or even the entertainment. Weddings should be about you as a couple, and not what people “expect” a wedding to be.

I was able to do a wedding where each guest was gifted a cactus as a favour to keep as a reminder of the day. It’s a nice sustainable gift that won’t just get thrown away at the end of the day. I also love when couples want to take risks, and do something that you have never seen before. Putting your personality into your day should be essential I think, as it shows who you are as a couple, and the things you love.

I tend to start everything via email or Instagram, where I find out the basic information and arrange a Zoom call for further information. Once I have done this, if they would like to book, I will take a deposit, and we set up a WhatsApp chat where we can chat to our hearts' content about all your plans. I can also make myself available to meet you at the venue (if in Essex, this is included within your quote) so we can share ideas and inspo!

I think a cactus is always a unique (occasionally dangerous if you plan to throw it!) thing to put in a bouquet. I do encourage the bride to not throw it, though… that sounds like a trip to A&E no one wants! I really enjoy using some lesser-used flowers and flowers which have the wow factor in my bouquets. None of my bouquets are ever traditional, and my favourite was creating a crystal-handled bouquet for a bride who was crystal crazy.

I love using filler flowers with personality that add extra texture to a design. For filler flowers, I personally love wax flowers. The smell of lemon balm they produce is perfection, and something couples may not consider is the sense of smell to create a memory of their wedding. Our eyes will see the flowers, our ears will hear the music, your hands will touch textures, but our sense of smell is often forgotten, so having something with scent in a bouquet/display is another fun way to add a sensory memory.

For the main event though? Succulents, always succulents!

I personally am a cactus girl so I’m probably not the best to ask about romantic flowers haha!

The great thing about the plants I use is they can be removed and planted into soil to be kept forever!
