What is your most memorable wedding?
A stunning marquee wedding with rows of tables laden with a mix match of antique jugs and plant pots, filled with bright colours of flowers and herbs. It was like walking into a country garden.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, scented, English, eclectic, striking
What about your business are you most proud of?
I give my time in discussing and researching options as a complimentary service. I am dedicated to producing exactly what the couple envisage.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My number one tip is to choose your suppliers with careful consideration - check you like their style and feel comfortable with the way they communicate with you, whether that be in person or online. Put your trust in them and then let them work their magic. It is so important that you feel confident in everyone working for you so that you can really relax and enjoy your day.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I always love seeing the table names - whether it be football clubs or holiday destinations, it is such a personal part of the wedding.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I am always happy to start with email or messages but do like to have a phone conversation or meet in person so that I can get to know the couple a little more. As I am an independent florist, I feel it is very important that the couple gets to know me a little and vice versa.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Pheasant feathers - they added a different texture to a beautiful bouquet of greenery.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
I feel every flower can be romantic in some way. I adore flowers that smell fresh and fragrant so a garden rose or a freesia tick the romantic boxes in terms of shape, scent and texture.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Each couple has their own idea of what to do with the flowers after the wedding. Most of the couples I have worked with either give the arrangements to family and friends who have helped them plan the day, or I have often taken the flowers to the local nursing home where they have been gratefully received.
