Out of this world !

"Out of this world" We used Poppies Florist in May for our wedding. Wendy was so helpful kind and caring. she showed us loads of different styles and ways we could decorate the venue. she went out of her way to find the colours and flowers we wished for. I would definitely recommend Poppies and I will be definitely using poppies florist again. We are so grateful with everything Wendy did for us. when we arrived at the venue it was like looking at a magazine. It was just so beautiful.

Breathtaking Flowers !

Breath taking flowers - absolutely stunning! I would like to share how pleased me and my now husband was with our wedding flowers, vases and centrepieces that Wendy Greenfield had prepared for us on 21th September 2019. We meet a few times before the wedding to discuss what we wanted and ideas, we had a vision and Wendy then added things that she thought too which was great, clearly good at what she does. Not only did the flowers look absolutely stunning, the care and attention towards me as a bride made me feel like I had not one worry at all when it came to the actual wedding day. Wendy made me feel I had nothing to worry about and when I had a sneak peak of the finishing touches ( Thank god before my makeup was done!) I literally cried it was so breath taking and everyone who attended our wedding said so too. I would like to thank her so very my and would totally recommend her to anyone who is getting married.

Everything from the outside arch to buttonholes for the babies was perfect and it made our day extra special. What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Communication is key !

Describe your typical process with a couple.

I generally respond to all enquires with 24 hours. Happy to have communication via email or telephone , ultimately of me there is nothing better than meeting with couples at the chosen venue. It gives me as a florist such an insight into your floristry wishes. I am happy to advise and or suggest ideas should you require. After this initial meet I prepare an itemised, comprehensive quote, detailing each item that we’ve discussed. If you decide to chose Poppies to flower your wedding I request a 20% booking fee of the quote. This booking fee secures your wedding date in my diary. In the time leading up to your wedding, I will alway be on hand to advise and tweak any details . Approximately 8 weeks prior to your wedding I like to organise a meet (or telephone call if easier for you) to run through the final details. The balance will be required 6 weeks before your wedding.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

There are so many but for me personally - David Austin Roses. The delicate patterns created by the soft petals, the colours and scent - simply divine.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

All flowers provided are yours, there are many different ways - Gifting to guests, preserving, laying on a loved ones grave - the choice is yours.
