FAQs
Find out a bit more from our FAQs

What is your most memorable wedding?

An evocative and unusual wedding - we were asked to supply the flowers for the ceremony of the head of the British Dracula Society and his wife-to-be. The setting? Very appropriately, on the cliffs of Whitby in North Yorkshire by the historical Whitby Abbey. Flower choice was predominantly roses, and of course, the dominant colour was red!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Unique, Classical, Stylish, Timeless, Sophisticated

What about your business are you most proud of?

We have been established for over 34 years, and our reputation continues to grow every year.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Enjoy it all - from the planning to the day itself! Never allow yourself to become stressed - remember, you only intend to do this once!

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

A Thai themed wedding at a beautiful location in Derbyshire where we provided the floral excellence, and the Bride and Groom arrived in a florally decorated Tuk Tuk.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

From an in-depth and personable consultation at our shop, located in Broomhill, Sheffield, then regular communication for any updates or required amendments (via email or phone), to the installation of the flowers and delivery of bouquets and buttonholes on the big day. We will guide you every step of the way with our expertise and advice.

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Vanilla pods and star anise (beautiful fragrances!).

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

The good old Rose, which symbolises enduring love and admiration.

What is the most romantic flower and why?

For us, the Orchid. Typically, it symbolises Love, Beauty, Seduction and Refinement.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

It really is up to you! Some people like to try to preserve the flowers with specialist floral preservation companies, although the results are never truly representative of the original fresh bouquet. Others like to dry all or part of the bouquet, although, of course, the colours will fade. Our best tip is to make sure your photographer and friends capture as many detailed and well-composed images of the flowers as possible on the day. Then you really have preserved a cherished moment in time.
