What is your most memorable wedding?
I'm not sure I could pick! I've been lucky enough to work with some amazing couples, getting to know them along their journey to the big day!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, rustic, beautiful, delicate, affordable
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm most proud that of the business that we've built, and continue to grow!
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
On the day, make sure you take time for just the two of you - whether it's a walk in the grounds of your beautiful venue, time in a quiet room or a sweetheart table at the wedding breakfast - the day will fly by & you need time to be together, just the two of you!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love to bring in a personal touch as much as possible! The most memorable are those little additions to bridal bouquets when they've lost someone close - a mothers wedding ring, or a photo of dad.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Our first step is to arrange a consultation where we sit down together in the studio & discuss your vision of your day over a coffee or glass of fizz. From here, we'll produce a tailor-made quotation for you & then you decide if you'd like to choose us to create your flowers. We take a initial payment which confirms your booking with us & saves the date. We only book one wedding a week so that you get our full attention.
We can have as many chats & consultations as you need in the run up, but we always get together again around 8 weeks before to confirm all the finer details & timings. At this point, final payment is due & we order your flowers with our growers & suppliers.
On the day itself, we aim to deliver your bouquets & buttonholes around 2 hours before the ceremony. Any other florals you have from us will already be set up & waiting for your arrival. Then all you need to do is relax & enjoy!
Our aim is to make the process as simple & stress free as possible!
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
One couple were huge Harry Potter fans & asked for some 'Easter Eggs' to be in the bridal bouquet & grooms buttonhole, that was good fun!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
Each couple I've worked with has a different view on romantic flowers, so I'll always create their flowers around blooms that mean something to them.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
For me, it's peonies. I just love them! They're so delicate & romantic. I think the fact that they're only available for around 5 weeks a year makes them even more special!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
That's a tough one. I think your wedding flowers are so special & of course all of our flowers are so beauiful!
I would definitely recommend drying some or pressing them as a keep sake. I can also recommend people who can preserve your flowers in resin into different designs. Some couples like to take their main flowers to a place of memorial too.
