What is your most memorable wedding?
Every one! We love that every wedding is different, even if we return to the same venue. That's the magic of flowers, it really does set the vibe. It's a great honour to be asked to arrange the flowers for someone's wedding and we love to bring it to life.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Versatile, fresh, fun, dreamy, ideal.
What about your business are you most proud of?
That we are a family business. We have grown together and share passion and the same vision which really does come into it's own to create floral harmony.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If you love their work, then this is a good start to finding your ideal florist. With us florists we can get booked up in advance so once you have found your florist, get booked in with them. Ideally, no more than a year in advance as flower prices can be unpredictable.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
There have been many. Its lovely when couples get married and there are special people in their lives that are no longer with them. Picture jewellery lockets of their mum, nan, child that we have put in the bridal bouquet. A photo of grooms by the cake table that we framed in fresh flowers. Made a flower collar for a couples dog to walk them down the aisle!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After the initial contact, we would see the couple at the shop to discuss their ideas and guide them through a whole world of possibilities with flowers! For couples that are busy or far from the shop, I find WhatsApp very popular to chat on and pass on images. We then provide a quote. I would reccomend a venue visit where we would meet and discuss where things may go and any other needs that they may have. We keep in touch with the couple on the approach to the wedding day and a final meeting about 4 weeks before.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
Probably a golf ball! It worked in really well actually as the brides bouquet was all white.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
This is such a personal thing, like the songs at the wedding. It's nice when a couple have no connection with a particular flower and after our meeting we have found several!
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Here at Forever Flowers we understand that fresh flowers wont last forever (although they do in your wedding pictures) so we offer the service of taking some flowers of your choice from your wedding and setting them in jewellery or glass ornaments to keep forever. Our silk arrangements last forever too!
