What is your most memorable wedding?
A large wedding at a theme park! We created statement floral arrangements and it was an amazing experience with the rollercoaster thundering overhead!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
natural, sustainable, loose, wild, romantic
What about your business are you most proud of?
Our low environmental footprint; we avoid floral foam and single use plastic. We use locally grown flowers as much as possible and our cut flower patch is pesticide free.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
If you can tell us what you like, it doesn't matter what you don't know about flowers! We will take inspiration from your loves (both flower related and otherwise), to create your perfect wedding flowers.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Flowers from the bride's parents' garden used specially in the groom's buttonhole, to welcome him into the family.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
We start with a consultation call, usually over video link, to discuss your plans and vision. We then produce a detailed proposal filled with images and description and a full quote. From there we will tailor the quote as much as required to fit with your desires and budget.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
A tiny little goose!
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
We love to work with the seasons so it changes all the time, however we do like to include herbs where possible as these bring extra scent. Rosemary symbolises remembrance which may be appropriate or lavender has a calming effect for those big day nerves. Mint represents fidelity and virtue, and is traditionally used in ceremonies for its lovely sweet scent.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
We think flowers can be so personal and each bridal bouquet we make is bespoke, but any flower that gives you an emotional connection is romantic. This could be the scent of stocks from your first meal together, or roses from a special holiday, or long grasses that remind you of beautiful beach walks.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Make sure you get some close-up good photos! They'll never look as perfect as they hopefully do on the day.
Preserving your wedding flowers is becoming more popular. We recommend speaking to a pressed flower artist as this is much more environmentally friendly than resin.
