What is your most memorable wedding?
A new years eve wedding....it was really frosty. The venue was a rural farm. Lots of family members arrived ...with wine, to assist me. There was candlelight everywhere and lots of gorgeous foliage's, roses and thistles. It was such a beautiful day.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Creative, Artistic, Confident, Inspiring, Resourceful
What about your business are you most proud of?
That I have been able to directly influence the changes that affect my business ie; I have become proficient on social media and marketing. I wanted to offer different flowers, foliage's and herbs so decided to grow them myself, rather than buy them in. So I can control the quality. I am also very proud of my customer service and have countless reviews from my lovely Brides.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Enjoy the planning...and the day itself...it flies by.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Bringing the couples dog as the ring bearer at the church.....I made the dog a neck corsage.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'm usually contacted through my websites contact us page. I then email the couple to arrange a consultation. This can be daytime, evening or weekends after any wedding set ups. I bring an IPad of my work for them to view and some wedding magazines. I usually spend up to an hour with the couple. I then email them over a quote for their wedding flowers. If the couple book I then arrange to go back to see them with some floral samples. Sometimes we will then meet again at their venue. I work with the Bride and groom until they feel happy with the choices they have made.
What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?
lots of things....brooches, feathers, interesting foliage's.
Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?
White freesia...mainly because its lovely in bridal bouquets, but also means innocence.
What is the most romantic flower and why?
Always Roses.
What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?
Some brides will put their bouquet in water and decorate the venue with it, others put it on the grave of a lost loved one. Some give them all away.
