Barrie Hughes Full Description
We’re proud that most of our weddings come from personal recommendations. You can see what some of our happy couples have said about us here. We know that planning a wedding can be stressful and expensive. Our job is to take the stress out of our part of your day, so you have one less thing to worry about. We can cater for any budget and all sorts of venues. Bringing your ideas to life There’s no such thing as a typical wedding these days, and that means there’s no such thing as typical wedding flowers. Whatever you’ve imagined for your big day, we’re here to turn it into a reality. Whether you dream of a traditional fairytale wedding, or something contemporary and minimalist, or if your tastes are exotic and colourful - we can make it happen. Equally, if you don’t know where to start with choosing flowers, we can suggest some ideas and talk you through it until you find what feels right for you. On your wedding day On the morning of your wedding, we’ll start by delivering the bouquets to the bride. Then, we’ll deliver the button holes to the groom, and finally, we’ll go to your wedding venue to set up. If you’re getting married in church, we’re more than happy to move your flower displays from the church to your reception venue whilst you’re having your photos taken. That way, you and your guests can enjoy your beautiful blooms for the whole day. Let’s talk Contact us to arrange a time when we can have a chat about your big day. You can come to see us at our shop in Pontyberem between 9am - 5pm on Mondays - Fridays, or between 9am - 1pm on Saturdays. Or, if it’s more convenient, we can come to see you at home in the evening. We look forward to helping you plan your special day.

Ask plenty of questions

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

We have provided flowers for dogs who have been ring bearers at the wedding

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After the initial consultation, we will meet with the Bride as often as she wants, a few days before the wedding she will be invited to come and view her flowers before we make anything up. On the Big Day we deliver to the Bride first, then the Groom, then Church, then Venue, back to the Church to transport flowers to the Venue, then collect any vases etc the next day.

A locket with a photo of a bereaved family member

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

I like to use whatever is in season

What is the most romantic flower and why?

Lily of the Valley, delicate flower with a lovely scent and we give the Bride the roots of the flowers so she can plant in her garden as a keepsake

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

Family grave if you don't want to preserve the bouquet, table centres to friends and family or donate to a care home.
