What is your most memorable wedding?
My own wedding - six months ago - which was the most amazing day of my life but did take a lot of planning beforehand. We hired a village hall and I made a three-tiered wedding cake, along with 150 favours (little bags of rosemary and lemon shortbread) and a range of cakes for a cake table. It's fair to say cake was a central theme and we certainly had a lot to go around!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Romantic, floral, rustic, delicious, modern
What about your business are you most proud of?
Seeing the bride and groom eating (and enjoying!) the cake I've baked.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
No one will notice the things that go wrong (and nothing will go wrong!). Enjoy the planning :)
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
Not to blow my own trumpet but...I baked little bags of shortbread in different flavours for favours at our wedding which went down really well.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
At first we'll exchange emails to make sure we're both the right fit, then we'll arrange a meeting in person. If we both agree to go forward we'll book in a cake tasting to decide upon flavours, toppings and decorations.
