Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, Beautiful, Natural, Stunning & Romantic
What about your business are you most proud of?
I am most proud that my dream of becoming a Makeup Artist, which seemed completely unattainable has come true! I worked really hard, put the hours of research in, trained and kept building on my knowledge and soon realised I could make it work. Less than a year later I was running my very own business in something that I am so passionate about.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Pick your suppliers based on gut instinct. Recommendations are GREAT but only if they sit well with you both as well. Pick suppliers that you click with, relate too and ones that you love the work of. Don't feel pressured into having someone because your told they were 'good' follow your heart & style too.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Depending on how you come across my services - either meeting me at a wedding fayre, finding me on social media or via my website - whichever comes first I pride myself on being friendly & professional from the off. If we meet face to face or have initial contact via email or phone I will firstly confirm whether I can commit to your wedding date or not. I love any wedding detail so naturally asking about your wedding venue and where you will be getting married comes next!
In my initial correspondence confirmation of what I will offer to your special day is key - so you can make sure I sound like the right lady for the job!
As many Brides book me months & months in advance it is often a little while before we speak again but around 3/4 months before the wedding date I contact you to book you in for your Bridal Trial.
The trial is the perfect time for me to ask you even more questions about your wedding day, get to know you & of course discuss and put together your desired gorgeous bridal look that is unique to you.
Between the trial and wedding day I would have regular correspondence with you confirming the time I will be arriving, perhaps discussing the order of other members of the Bridal party for makeup on the wedding morning & if required discussing these timings or arrangements with your hairstylist.
Of course that then brings us to the day of the wedding! Arriving on time and professionally dressed with all my kit and chair in hand I set off to work, enjoying the company of your Bridal party and of course you!
I only book one wedding per day so I will be there to see you in your dress, do the final lipstick check and wave you off onto the best day ever!
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing my clients look in the mirror & just smile with pure delight as they completely love what you've done & how you've made them look like the most beautiful version of themselves.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Skin Prep beforehand is key! Get into a great skin care regime months before your wedding day - own your regime & own beautiful skin!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
For me its all about timing - I ensure I have your makeup completed way ahead of the time you expected - this way there is no time stress due to makeup!
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
I think looking great is about having confidence that starts from inside you which then glows outwardly. I love Estee Lauder's quote "Be Strong. Be Confident. Be The Star Of Your Own Life" - Looking great throughout your wedding day is smiling, enjoying yourself & dancing with your new partner like no-one is watching! Do that & you will look amazing (not just great!) all day.
