I’m Rosie (she/her) of Rosie Roberts Beauty, and I’ve been knocking about the makeup world professionally for almost 10 years now! I’ve always worked within the alternative world and saw that whenever someone wanted wedding makeup, their bold, colourful and non traditional looks were often dismissed by makeup artists. Peoples wants and needs were often dismissed, such as sensory requirements when applying makeup, or requesting “different from the norm” wedding makeup, such as wearing no foundation or no lipstick. So why not be the change you want to see?! Do you want to walk down the aisle with the biggest wing liner known to man? Let’s do it! You want sparkle and glitter that can be seen across the ceremony hall? Heck to the yeah! You want to feel like the best, most beautiful version of YOU on your wedding day? Well, I got you! I work closely with all of my couples to ensure that your makeup experience allows you to feel your absolute best. I carry all Cruelty Free & predominately all Vegan products, I work with all skin types, tones, textures and ages, in a judgement free space. I strive to be an inclusive makeup artist in all aspects. Plus I’ll talk your ear off about absolute nonsense the entire time!

What about your business are you most proud of?
How I make the wedding party feel. Your makeup is your suit of armour for the day, and can truly change how strong you feel, and having someone see themselves for the first time all done up and being so over the moon makes the job worth while for me.
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Be certain what you're doing, is for you and not for anyone else.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
A typical process for makeup with myself would be an online consultation to discuss how you'll want your makeup on the day, maybe organizing a mood and inspiration board so we're absolutely on the same page, and to discuss timings. When do you need to be ready by? How many people want makeup doing? Does anyone have any allergies I should be aware of? etc etc. Next comes the all important makeup trial - no bride should go without one, but it doesn't have to be just one. I've had brides who've had 4! This is where you'll try out your desired makeup and make sure its exactly how you want it to be, and make any tweaks or adjustments. Finally, it's the big day! I'll check in the day before to triple confirm time and location - to check if anything has changed since we last spoke. I'll arrive 15 mins early, and we'll get down to work!
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Stick to what you love. Do you always wear a wing eyeliner? Then absolutely rock that on your wedding day. Do you love how champagne shimmer compliments your skintone? Let's incorporate that! Oh - and make sure you wear waterproof mascara.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
For the time I'm with you, helping you get ready, I'm your best friend. I'll hype you up, keep you excited and importantly keep everything running smoothly. Do you need an extra pair of hands to buckle up a shoe? I got you. Do you need someone to run round finding a safety pin? Don't worry, I'm there! I may be Makeup Artist by title, but for your big day that can cover so many different things to help you have the best day
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Carry a little top up kit with you in your bag or a bridesmaids bag which contains your lipstick, some blotting sheets or some setting powder, some lash glue (if you're wearing false lashes!) and some tissue to catch any tears that come before they even reach your mascara.
