What is your most memorable wedding?
I'm the luckiest person ever that I get to be apart of so many weddings, but I think the most memorable was in Wales where in rained all morning but when the bride came to leave the house the sun shone. I watched from the back of the church , and the sun shone through the church over them. Beautiful, beautiful moment.
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Classic, vintage, elegant, romantic and empowering. People say my make-up is "You, but on a really good day".
What about your business are you most proud of?
Being nominated by my clients for awards is lovely, but each time I see a client look and smile at themselves in the mirror on the biggest day of their lives; every time, that's my proudest moment. A job well done.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Book your chosen suppliers early! Ask questions, and don't feel pressurised into quick decisions. Most wedding suppliers (all those worth their salt!) will want you to be happy above all else.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
A client bought small gifts for everyone as their wedding favours; they scoured charity shops and car boots for little individual touches, and they were all utterly wonderful. A real personal touch, and excitement to see everyone open something different.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
Email consultation first off to discuss what you want from me (or what you don't; that's just as important!), how you're feeling and how you want to look/feel on the day. A trial is great chance to get to know each other a little, get a feel for each other and for me to reassure you that you've in safe hands. That's what I want; you to know you're going to be cared for, and made to feel and look wonderful.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to make people happy! I always ask how wedding planning is going, and take personal interest in each of my clients. Being a part of their excitement is such a treat, as well as getting to see all their smiling photos.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Moisturise and exfoliate! Your skin will thank you for it. And drink plenty of water, there's so many benefits to it. Actually, get a glass right now!
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I'm funny. I'm happy to have people laugh at me, diffuse any anxiety and having experienced wedding stress with well over 100 brides, I know how to recognise it building. Sometimes it might just be offering a bride my hand to squeeze or making her have a sip of a drink makes a difference; I'll do whatever is needed to make you happy.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Any tears, dab them away instead of swipe. Dab dab dab! Use the corner of a tissue to grab tears and take a moment to go to the bathroom to check your face is perfect before you have your couples photos - they are the ones you often end up having printed because they are of you and your love! Keep smiling :)
