What is your most memorable wedding?
There have been a few, for different reasons. It's always lovely when there's a bit of a buzz whilst the bridal party are having their hair and makeup done, with music playing and the odd glass of champagne floating around!
There is one that sticks in my mind though and it involved turning up to find the bridal party all still in bed and a bride and bridesmaid who were rather worse for wear after a very late night on the prosecco!
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Natural, relaxed, professional, fresh and sophisticated
What about your business are you most proud of?
The personal interactions with all of my clients - I tailor my approach to each person accordingly so I make you feel as comfortable and confident as possible.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Don't lose sight of why you are doing all the preparations so try and enjoy the process. This is especially poignant with certain Covid-19 restrictions - couples have had to many amendments to their plans, but the intimate weddings are just as special as those planned on a larger scale.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
My friend had her dog as the ring bearer, which was so lovely!
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I offer all my brides-to-be a FREE Zoom consultation as I like to find out as much about you as possible - how you met your partner, where the wedding will be, where you are getting ready and what sort of look you are hoping to achieve. You are invited to ask me as many questions as you like as it's important you are confident in my ability to deliver. The line of communication is always open and we will converse backwards and forwards until the trial/wedding date. I always welcome feedback too, so I can continually improve my service.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting so many different people, getting an insight into their world, but ultimately it's about making people feel special and beautiful.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Invest in some good, natural ingredient based skincare products and get into a routine of using them every day (I can advise on this). Oh, and drink lots of water (I know that's 2 tips....!).
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I try to gauge things accordingly and keep you occupied in conversation, when I think it's appropriate. Sometimes I will just stay quiet and get on with the job in hand if I feel you'd appreciate a few moments of peace. Every bride is different.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
The products I use are all long-wearing, meaning you shouldn't need to do anything to stay looking great throughout the day (other than topping up your lippy after lots of eating, drinking and possibly kissing!). We can discuss any extra bits and pieces at the trial though.
