What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding I do feels special, but one that really stands out is a bride who mentioned how my calm presence completely eased her nerves on the morning of her big day. She and her Maid of Honour said they felt instantly at ease during the trial, and on the wedding day their makeup looked flawless and lasted right through to the evening celebrations. Moments like this are always memorable for me, because it’s not just about the makeup, it’s about helping someone feel confident, relaxed, and truly beautiful on such an important day.

What about your business are you most proud of?
I am incredibly proud that I have come this far with my business on my own. My business is named after my grandmother (Valentine) who was the original beauty girl in my family and somebody who I massively looked up to! To be able to carry on her name is a honour and something that I will treasure forever!

Focus on what makes you happy as a couple, not trends or expectations from others
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I love when couples include their pets in the wedding! They’re such an important part of the family, and it’s so special seeing them soaking up all the excitement on the morning of the big day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When a couple first gets in touch, I respond promptly with all the key information and a tailored quote based on their date, location, and party size. A deposit secures the booking, and from there we move on to the bridal trial, where we sit down together to design and perfect the look until it feels just right. In the run-up to the big day I stay in touch with regular check-ins, offering advice on skincare prep, final timings, and any little reassurances needed. Ahead of the wedding I create a clear schedule so the morning runs seamlessly, and on the day itself I arrive early, set up, and bring each makeup look to life with precision and care. From the bride to the bridal party, everyone leaves my chair feeling confident, radiant, and ready for photos — with final touch-ups done before the bride steps out to enjoy her day.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is helping people feel amazing in themselves. Makeup is so much more than how it looks! It’s about the confidence, joy, and calm it brings on such an important day. I love seeing that moment when a bride looks in the mirror and lights up, or when a bridesmaid feels extra special, those reactions are priceless and why I do what I do.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Keep your skincare routine simple and consistent before the wedding for the clearest skin! I recommend serum, eye cream, moisturiser, and SPF (Just for AM). Less is definitely more. This will keep your skin hydrated and clear in the lead up to the wedding.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
I pride myself on adapting to the atmosphere each bride wants on the morning of her wedding. If she prefers a calm, quiet environment, I’ll create a peaceful space with minimal disruption so she can relax and enjoy the moment. If she wants excitement, music, and laughter, I’ll bring the energy and be her hype girl! Every bride is different, and I make it my priority to shape the getting-ready experience around what makes her feel most comfortable and at ease.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Don’t worry about constant touch-ups! Your makeup is made to last. I will provide you with the top up bits you may need (Lipstick, powder, etc). Enjoy your day!
