Describe your typical process with a couple.
Anywhere between 1-3 years prior to a wedding, the booking is confirmed. During this time, I keep in contact with brides to see if they need my help with any supplier requests, skincare concerns or just general questions. 4-8 weeks prior to the big day, once hairstyles, colour schemes and dresses have been chosen, I have a full consultation and trial with the bride lasting around two hours in my home studio. This is a perfect opportunity to work out a look together and to try different colours of lipstick or lashes etc. On the day of the wedding, I arrive in good time with a schedule worked out so that everything goes like clockwork.
What do you love most about your job?
The morning of a wedding. It is full of nerves and excitement. I feel every single one of those emotions with my brides and it is my job to help them relax and enjoy being pampered.
What is your No. 1 beauty tip for a bride?
Get a good skincare routine that works for you.
How do you keep the bride feeling calm on her wedding day?
A full hour of pampering in my makeup chair starting with a relaxing face massage and skincare preparation.
What advice would you give to brides to stay looking great throughout their wedding day?
Try not to cry and if you do, pat don't rub. Top up your lipstick before photos and after your meal, especially if you have had several smooches.
