MONA (the Museum of Old and New Art) is a unique function venue for conferences, weddings and private events. There are two specialized function rooms including Eros and Thanatos, as well as a cinema inside the museum itself. Chef, Philippe Leban of famed The Source Restaurant has a Michelin star-studded resume, and prepares French-inspired cuisine to order. Of course, if you want to take the extravagant option, go for a cocktail reception inside or around the museum itself. There are eight luxury pavilions on the bank of the Derwent River, well suited for delegates or post-wedding parties. Guests can travel to MONA by helicopter or catamaran. Or alternatively by coach as it is only 20 minutes from the centre of Hobart.
