Nestled in a tranquil valley and surrounded by the rolling green hills of Ixopo, Kwazulu-Natal, King’s Grant invites you to take a step back in time and enjoy a well-earned break from the daily rush of life. At the heart of Kings Grant Country Retreat is the quaint Saint Isidore Chapel – built by Trappist Monks in 1896, set amidst old farm buildings, rose gardens and cobbled paths. Kings Grant has recently opened its doors for small and intimate farm weddings for up to 46 guests. Create your bespoke wedding day and choose one of our beautiful historic farm locations to say ‘I do.’ Choose the St Isidore Chapel to get married in or the secluded Brickfield that looks out onto the Brickfield dam. Enjoy a few glasses of sparkling wine and snacks in the St Isidore Mill Lounge with Baltic pine beams and wooden floors, followed by dinner in the Romanesque Dairy Banquet Hall or in the cosy Creamery Private dining room. This unique farm wedding venue is rustic and intimate with warm farm hospitality. All wedding catering is provided and made with love by our team of experienced chefs and drinks from our fully licensed wedding venue.

Beautiful little gem a few kilometers from Ixopo. Fantastic venue for weddings, reunions or just to get away from the rat race. We had a wonderful lunch on the terrace. Will definitely go back. A hidden gem steeped in history. I can only imagine a big wedding at this venue would be spectacular. The food was excellent and so much more than expected. A gourmet flair and so tasty. The staff were excellent, friendly and accommodating. Lovely room. No signal except on the establishments own wifi, but it is good to drop off the grid. A hidden gem steeped in history.
