As a Wedding Coach and Stylist, I worked directly with Linda the Venue Events Coordinator on a destination wedding for my clients who were originally from NY and RI but relocated to NC while engaged. The event was a success and I would recommend Hotel Viking to any couples looking for an event venue in Newport!Hotel Viking is a perfect place for your wedding or milestone event! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Valet parking right at the hotel so that was easy. No mater what they are there to help. upon check in they asked are you here for any particular reason & we said Yes it's my wife's Birthday & our 25th Wedding Anniversary. They said how nice it was that we were staying with them to celebrate. We had been there for the same reasons in the past & know how Great it was. The Food was Fantastic also to help celebrate or special occasion the gave us Free Dessert.The Staff at the Viking is Fantastic. We took a tour of the lobby and loved the place. We went upstairs to the Top of Newport Bar & Kitchen for a cocktail which is the hotel's roof deck bar. It's a great spot for casual dinning and specialty cocktails with amazing views of downtown Newport and the harbor. This is a great spot to watch the sunset and take in the views. This summer I had dinner at the same restaurant. I went to a wedding at the Hotel Viking 10 years ago with a friend of mine and we had an amazing time. We took a tour of the lobby and loved the place. We went upstairs to the Top of Newport Bar & Kitchen for a cocktail which is the hotel's roof deck bar.
