I have had the good fortune of being a luxury event planner for 8 years and I have never in my life had a event as flawless, spectacular, heartfelt and as beautiful as our May 2023 wedding here. And not only that, it was the first large tented, seated wedding EVER since the hotel opened and it was sincerely flawless. Not even one beat skipped. Its hard to describe how TRULY INCREDIBLE this Team and Venue is, the word magical gets thrown around often but it's absolutely applicable here. I simply cannot speak more highly of this property and of the experience I had with Megan. She was professional, responsive, attentive, and kind throughout the entire day of the planning process. If ever a hiccup arose, she was the epitome of a team player, and bent over backwards to make sure that things were resolved in a timely and beneficial manner. My main point of contact throughout the planning process and on site was Megan Starnes. I simply cannot speak more highly of this property and of the experience I had with Megan. She was professional, responsive, attentive, and kind throughout the entire day of the planning process. All our guests raved about the hotel, the service, the food, the beach area, etc. Megan Starnes, the Catering Sales Manager, went above and beyond to make our special weekend so perfect. The week leading up to the wedding was extremely rainy, but Megan had a rain contingency plan for every situation. We ended up moving our dinner reception indoors at the last minute, but none of our guests knew this because of how smoothly the shift was executed. The three locations of the wedding each had a uniquely beautiful view of Hanalei Bay.Finally, the wedding. I cannot thank Megan enough for going above and beyond to create the wedding of our dreams. The week leading up to the wedding was extremely rainy, but Megan had a rain contingency plan for every situation. We ended up moving our dinner reception indoors at the last minute, but none of our guests knew this because of how smoothly the shift was executed. We stayed here for a week leading up to the wedding, and by time we left, it felt as if the staff was our family. The moment you arrive, you are escorted for drinks in a lounge area while the staff goes through the nuances of the hotel. You then have the option to go on tours of the hotel and/or your room. My husband and I got married at the 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay this week, and I cannot express how perfect our experience was. We stayed here for a week leading up to the wedding, and by time we left, it felt as if the staff was our family. The moment you arrive, you are escorted for drinks in a lounge area while the staff goes through the nuances of the hotel. You then have the option to go on tours of the hotel and/or your room.
