We picked Wotton House as both the ceremony room (The Old Library) and the hotel grounds blew us away. We had a wonderful wedding and were so pleased with how everything turned out- the food choices were excellent and we were kept well supplied on drink throughout the day too, with food/drink kept aside for the bride and groom too. The team and our suppliers worked well together and made our day feel as stress-free as possible. The little touches, including keeping a space aside in the restaurant so we could gather with guests the morning after for breakfast, were really nice and were appreciated by all! We did have a couple of issues that emerged (largely out of the control of the venue!), but these were handled professionally and in a satisfactory manner by our wedding coordinator Annabelle and the management team respectively, who we were very grateful for.We picked Wotton House as both the ceremony room (The Old Library) and the hotel grounds blew us away. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Wotton House is absolutely beautiful — the gardens, the historic charm, and the elegant rooms made it feel magical from start to finish. Everything ran so smoothly, and the staff were incredible. The food was delicious, and our toastmaster was amazing — keeping the day flowing perfectly and full of joy. We fell in love with this venue for its incredible decor and warmth, it really has that special feel to it. The gardens and Old library made for an incredible backdrop for photos, and we felt well and truly pampered during our time there. Everyone working there is kind and friendly, and made the day even more fun. We recently held our wedding at Wotton House and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The venue is absolutely stunning and the team made sure our special day ran smoothly from start to finish. There was an issue with our parents’ room bookings, which caused some stress the night before, but thankfully it was resolved in the end. Despite that hiccup, the wedding itself was everything we hoped for — a beautiful setting, excellent service, and unforgettable memories.We recently held our wedding at Wotton House and overall, it was a fantastic experience. My husband and I had our heart set on Wotton House from the moment we got engaged and we are so glad we booked here for our wedding. We felt so well cared for on the lead up and on the day. Nothing felt like too much and on the actual day, it went so smoothly thanks to the team. The setting was beautiful (despite it raining on and off on the day - it didn’t impact our day). We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue and the food was fantastic - both the wedding breakfast and buffet. We’d highly recommend Wotton House as a wedding venue and will be returning for special occasions for years to come. When we got engaged, we knew it was the only place for our small, intimate wedding. We planned a very private celebration with just our children, two witnesses, and our most important VIP: our dog! From our initial enquiry, Fiona (our wedding coordinator) and the entire Wotton House team were incredibly accommodating and fully embraced our unique, small-scale event. They are truly dog-friendly, which was a non-negotiable for us. We were made to feel utterly special throughout the entire process and on the day itself. The team seamlessly adapted to our smaller party size, ensuring every detail was perfect without making us feel like we were an afterthought. The venue provided the most beautiful and romantic backdrop for our ceremony, and having our dog included in our special day was priceless. We got married at Wotton House in September 2025. Wow!! So much to say about this venue. From the moment we saw their Old Library we knew it was the place we were looking for, for our wedding venue. They have a choice for you to get married either outside in their beautiful grounds infront of the temple or inside the Old Library which is stunning! We had an amazing wedding co-ordinator Fiona who helped us plan our wedding and made sure we had everything we wanted right down to the finer details. Nothing was too much trouble and she went above and beyond to make our day really special. The food was incredible!! We met the chef and went over exactly what we wanted and again, nothing was too much trouble. We had a toastmaster Bill who was the loveliest man who helped guide our guests to where they needed to be on the day and was also there to help the best man and us with everything we needed as well as making announcements and making sure everything ran smoothly. He is a true gentleman. There are so many positives about this venue and their staff. All the staff involved were helpful, courteous and friendly and made sure every part of the day ran smoothly. The venue is incredibly beautiful inside and out. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how well organised the day was as well as saying its the best wedding they had been too. They have plenty of rooms for your guests to stay over. We had the pleasure of staying in the honeymoon suite. We had the most incredible day and would highly recommend it to everyone. What can I say but planning our wedding has got to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, most stressful but enjoyable at the same time. Jodie our wedding planner from the venue wow what can I say she is amazing, nothing is too much trouble, any worry, any issue or concern she is there to support and make your journey easier, it was so lovely meeting her to view the venue, to have her get me to the end of the alter in safe hands, Jodie was on my journey with us from the very start and I couldn’t ask for anyone truly better, she is a lovely lovely person inside and out with a great humour and personality. Tim the toast master wow wow wow, he is truly amazing, such a nice man, my family all truly loved him, my dad said he’s the type of person he could talk to for hours everyone had nothing but wonderful words to say about him, he was so much fun, down to earth, professional funny on the ball with everything, we didn’t meet Tim till our wedding day but I knew we were in safe hands the moment we met him, he took care of the whole day running smoothly and this is all the reassurance you need, a really truly lovely person he is a credit to the venue. A special thank you to Vickey, our wedding planner, who was absolutely amazing—so organised, attentive, and caring. She made everything run smoothly and took all the stress away so we could just enjoy ourselves. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Chiara, one of the waitresses, who was so kind, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. She really stood out and made us and our guests feel so well looked after. It happened to be a real heatwave on our wedding day, and the room did get quite hot, but the staff were fantastic in doing everything they could—bringing in extra fans and checking in with us to make sure we were comfortable. Their friendliness and effort really made a difference. Thank you so much to the whole team for helping us create memories we’ll never forget. Highly recommend! By Car From the M25 just exit at Junction 9 and follow the signs to Dorking. Please use postcode RH5 6QQ which will bring you to the entrance to our drive located next door to the Wotton Hatch Pub. By Train Dorking is accessible by both Dorking (Main) Station and Dorking Deepdene, trains run regularly from London Waterloo and London Victoria to Dorking Main. Wotton House is just a 10 minute taxi drive from Dorking station along the A25. Taxis are available at Dorking Main Station By Air London Gatwick Airport is just 16 miles (30 mins) from Wotton House and London Heathrow only 25 miles (40 mins). Taxis are available at the airports but we do recommend pre-booking a taxi to avoid long waiting times.

We would have to say the live painting artists! They take photos of your wedding guests and paint the photograph for guests the takeaway! What a memory to keep hold of!

There is no doubt it would be our beautiful Italian gardens and our temples! Our newlyweds always share their photographed moment infront of the temple with us, and every time, it takes our breath away!

We are very lucky to have had some fabulous famous faces here at Wotton House. However, we really respect their privacy, so we're afraid, it's our little secret!
