Exclusivity at Woodhill: 18 Individually designed bedrooms sleeping up to 36 people + 4 children for two nights, 5pm arrival and 11am checkout. 2. The use of our 100-acre estate. 3. The Olive House Ceremony space: licensed for 110 guests. 4. Orangery: Glass arched windows and four ceiling atriums, dining for up to 110 guests 5. Best day of our lives! Best day of our lives!
As soon as we saw Woodhill Hall for the first time we knew we had to get married there. It is unlike any other venue we visited, truly one of a kind! The vibe there is amazing and we absolutely loved the fact we had full access to the venue the evening before the wedding which we spent with close family and friends. Everyone who came to our wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to (some even said better than their own!) the staff were fantastic and the food is out of this world. Everything ran like clock work and it was just perfect. As soon as we saw Woodhill Hall for the first time we knew we had to get married there. It is unlike any other venue we visited, truly one of a kind! The vibe there is amazing and we absolutely loved the fact we had full access to the venue the evening before the wedding which we spent with close family and friends. We had our wedding here over three unforgettable days, and I genuinely don’t know if I’ll ever find the right words to describe how incredible it was but I’ll try my best. From the moment we booked the Show Stopper package, the communication was flawless. Every email, every question, every tiny detail… handled with ease and consistency. It immediately made us feel we were in the safest, most capable hands. Even the pre-wedding taster night blew us away. Free drinks, a stunning three-course meal, live music, a magician honestly, if the wedding itself had been exactly like that, we’d have been over the moon. Little did we know the real thing would surpass it in every possible way. Our guests were absolutely bowled over not just by the beauty of the venue, but by the staff. The way the team seamlessly transitioned everyone from room to room without a single hiccup felt like watching a perfectly rehearsed performance. Months later, we still have people telling us it was the smoothest, most organised wedding they’d ever experienced. And the food… oh my god, the food. It has genuinely become a running joke among our friends and family that they’re still dreaming about it six months on. The attention to detail was next level. My husband and I were even given the glasses we drank from straight after the ceremony, along with the cork from the champagne bottle used for our first toast tiny gestures we’ll treasure forever. The table service during the wedding breakfast? Unreal. It felt choreographed, like something out of a luxury movie scene. You can tell this venue never sits still they’re constantly upgrading, refreshing, and improving, keeping everything modern, stylish, and absolutely gorgeous. But here’s the truth: no matter how much I write, I still can’t fully explain the feeling of our wedding day. It was warm, magical, emotional, and so perfect that my chest still feels full whenever I think about it. It’s a kind of contentment I can’t put into words, even now. We are so, so grateful. OUR PERFECT DAYOUR PERFECT DAY
We went to see Woodhill Hall as a possible wedding venue in February 2023. Our plan was a small intimate family wedding. For Louise and I it was our ‘late in life love story’ and we would have our 6 children and partners together with our 4 sisters and partners. No friends, no cousins, no evening guests, just US. The chance for our ‘new family’ to spend a long weekend together with two nights accommodation was immensely tempting. We never went to view another wedding venue. We were welcomed by the owner Corinne and her staff, who immediately oozed professionalism and confidence - seemingly very excited for our plans. Most everything went according to plan in the build-up to the big day, sorting the room allocations was fun, we visited twice more to ‘get our heads around’ our two days together - and one of them was the menu tasting to decide on our food and drinks packages. We loved the Olive House chapel, it had immediately reminded us of our engagement in Crete. The Olive trees around the door and the beautiful plain white interior and blue walls outside became part of our Greek themed plans. Our Sunday and Monday at Woodhill Hall to celebrate our wedding came around in a flash. The weather before AND after our wedding day was dark heavy skies and rain. However, on our wedding day, the skies cleared, the sun came out - and stayed out - all day long. Just like in Crete! It was very warm and pleasant, we loved the chapel, and it all felt VERY Greek. Our four daughters were bridesmaids, our two sons were best men. Receiving a kiss from my daughter Ellie at the end of her walk down the aisle was very special, Louise’s daughter’s Elizabeth read a very touching poem she had written about our love story, Sally then played a violin piece which was beautiful. I’ve never been as proud of my two sons as they took over ring duties, and later the great speeches they made along with Louise’s eldest daughter Sarah’s very funny speech too. We were so very happy. A shot of Greek Pomegranate Raki, as a toast after our speeches, certainly kept us alert! The Orangery was a beautiful place for a reception, even with our small party. Later we danced the night away under the twinkling lights of the TeePee and enjoyed the rustic pizza package to keep us going until the close of play. We enjoyed nightcaps with the ‘wind-down pack’ in the library before bed, laughter and happy smiling faces all around. A great day done very well indeed. Breakfast was most welcome the next morning, and we all agreed what a wonderful place Woodhill Hall was and what an amazing wedding we had all enjoyed as a family! We said our goodbyes to our sisters and partners before all our six ‘children’ and partners, together with us, headed to Newcastle Airport to fly to Crete for a familymoon together. To find true love and happiness at this point in our lives was a total dream, that actually came true. And Woodhill Hall was the perfect place for our perfect wedding. Forever grateful to Woodhill Hall for the amazing hospitality and experience for our wedding. Everything was so truly special from start to finish, Sarah, you had a huge part in that so thank you! Everyone we have spoken too has said it’s the best wedding / venue they’ve ever been too! (We are biased but absolutely agree). The Greek inspired olive house captured my eye when first looking for a venue and it was even more stunning in person, the extension made to the orangery has finished off that part of the venue perfectly, and the teepee is the perfect way to end the day; we absolutely loved the fact each part of our day was somewhere different. Can't fault the team and venue at Woodhill Hall. They created a relaxed, magical and well managed wedding day for us. They operate like a well oiled machine with nothing too much effort and everything working like clockwork. Sarah and Laura were both fab with a great eye to the detail throughout the day. Highly professional and highly recommended. Also we must also mention the catering team which was absolutely top class. We had so many guests comment on not only the fabulous venue but the wonderful food. Faultless. A perfect day helped out considerably by Woodhill Hall venue and staff.Can't fault the team and venue at Woodhill Hall. They created a relaxed, magical and well managed wedding day for us. Had our wedding at Woodhill Hall on September 23rd 2023. It really was the most amazing day of our lives. The venue was sensational, the food was out of this world and the staff were fantastic. Laura was our wedding planner and she did an amazing job, not only throughout the wedding day itself, but the months leading up to the wedding as well! She was there every step of the way. All of our guests had the most amazing day and they complimented every part of it. Having the opportunity to stay at the venue the night before with all our friends and family made the weekend so much more special. Followed by an amazing breakfast buffet the morning after, curing that hangover and those wedding blues! Bessie’s was the most perfect room for getting ready in with my bridal party. Extremely spacious (and I had 8 bridesmaids plus parents getting ready in there), fab lightening for those MUAs and plenty space for dancing and popping those champagne bottles. Honestly, hands on heart, could not fault anything at all. Truly the most magical day. Had our wedding at Woodhill Hall on September 23rd 2023. It really was the most amazing day of our lives. Woodhill are the most amazing venue. The team made sure our day was absolutely faultless. Our guests are still raving about the venue and even described it as an “immersive experience” with so many beautiful settings/rooms to experience during our wedding day. Woodhill is the kind of venue that every girl grows up imagining. It is simply breathtaking. I remember when we walked in for the first time and looked out through the Orangery at the scenery, I had goosebumps. We looked at each other and knew this was the place. From booking the venue, the menu tasting, the planning meetings, all the little details, right through to the day itself, the staff could never do enough to help. We are so thankful we were lucky enough to have our wedding here and I really can't recommend Woodhill enough.Woodhill is the kind of venue that every girl grows up imagining. From the moment we booked our wedding Sarah was absolutely fantastic! We had our special day 15th June 23 and I honestly could not have asked for more.
