Wellington Wood is an inspiring outdoor wedding venue where everything revolves around your wedding. Eco-friendly, pet-friendly and family -friendly. With 3 permanent Giant Tipis already here, the Noggin Bar, Forest Cottage, Shepherds huts, Bell Tent Glamping and more as well as plenty of local places to stay with transport to and from the venue for your guests. For weekend weddings from Friday to Sunday. We also offer small midweek weddings.

We recently exhibited at a fabulous open day at this stunning venue with other suppliers; we had an amazing day! We have had the pleasure of working here with couples on many occasions. It is always a joy to come here, we can’t wait to visit again. The venue is incredible, surrounded by beautiful woodland, meadows and wildlife. It is a truly magical and unique place to get married. The owners are delightful, warm and welcoming and are wonderful hosts! We highly recommend this incredible venue to couples looking for a relaxed outdoor wedding surrounded by nature. We recently exhibited at a fabulous open day at this stunning venue with other suppliers; we had an amazing day! We have had the pleasure of working here with couples on many occasions. We honestly don’t have enough words to express how wonderful our wedding day was. It was so much more than just a venue. It felt like our own little world, surrounded by nature, love, and the people who mean the most to us - magical from start to finish. Everyone at Wellington Wood was helpful, friendly, and so genuinely passionate about what they do. The owners, Vicky & Paul were with us all the way from planning to on the day and more. Their commitment to creating something unique and heartfelt was clear in every interaction. Our guests were blown away and are still talking about how beautiful and different the whole day was. The most magical place The most magical place
Wellington Wood is the most magical place to have your wedding. From the very first time we visited we knew it was the perfect venue. Vicky and Paul are welcoming, friendly and a lot of fun. They are also passionate about providing the best experience for couple's on their big day. Paul even drove out at 10pm the night before to get my best man a shirt as he had forgotten to bring his up! And needless to say everyone LOVED the venue. It was said many times from our guests that the wedding venue was amazing. Thank you so much Vicky and Paul for the perfect day.Wellington Wood is the most magical place to have your wedding. Our wedding exceeded every expectation and then some - right from the beginning of viewing the woodland and meadow in April 2021 we instantly knew we'd found the right place for us and that Vicky and Paul intuitively understood our vision. Putting all our anxieties at ease pretty much immediately Vicky and Paul run a heartfelt operation, genuinely putting in effort to get to know us and our guests were amazed by the whole weekend. Our legal ceremony in the Larch on the wildflower meadow felt far more profound than expected, likely due to the beauty of the setting. And our Pagan Handfasting in the woodland with a very different layout and setup was taken well within their stride. So much care and attention to detail was taken at every step and every guest felt well tended to. Absolutely magical and a dream wedding dayAbsolutely magical and a dream wedding day
This place is absolutely magical and we had a dream wedding day. Our friends and family could not stop talking about the wedding, and in particular the beautiful unique venue for months! We got engaged in Feb 2020 and when we came across Wellington Wood in our online searches we were confident that we’d found the right place for us. A site visit later and we knew it was the dream location. The setting is serene, 70 ish acres of divine meadow and woodland, neighboured by a private field which is open only to nature. There is an amazing choice of location for getting married: the woodland circle - a natural opening in the woods which has capacity for well over 150 people, fronted with two dramatically tall trees which make it seem like a cathedral of nature; the larch - a beautifully constructed wooden structure with views out to the tipis across a wildflower meadow; the meadow circle - fully out in the open, with a thoughtfully designed wooden structure forming a focal point. Accommodation is available on-site, two shepherds huts each have the capacity to sleep 4, and come with a handy little kitchen and bathroom each for a very comfortable glamping experience (don’t forget to bring bedding and towels like we did). The forest cottage also makes a fabulous bridal suite, tucked away from all the action of the tipis, making it feel like a little oasis of quiet after the evening is over. Vicky and Paul are also happy to have tents on-site and regularly work with a bell-tent hire company (peg and mallet) who have beautiful tents which make a lovely feature to the site. Vicky and Paul are actually incredible, so very helpful, they have great vision and ideas of how to arrange things to make the day go smoothly. Both are very laid-back and happy to give pretty much any reasonable suggestion a go. They worked bloody hard on the weekend of our wedding moving stuff around the expansive site and finding the right props for how we wanted our wedding to look. And despite having a professional relationship, by the end of the weekend, we left feeling like they had been incredibly helpful guests at our wedding! You can tell when you walk around the site and speak to them that they have put their heart and soul into designing everything, using high quality materials, and really thinking about the impact that different suppliers will have on their site. A breath of fresh air...A breath of fresh air...
We're wedding photographers and did our first wedding at Wellington Wood this Summer. What a breath of fresh air it was too! We're big fans of outdoor ceremonies and the ancient woodland setting with a huge circle of trees here is absolutely gorgeous - a mad combination of very informal but massively grand with all the work Mother nature has done to set the scene. Later we enjoyed the informality of the Tipi reception facilities and a very relaxed fun beautiful day. Can't wait to get back there!We're wedding photographers and did our first wedding at Wellington Wood this Summer. What a breath of fresh air it was too! This was the venue we dreamed of for our wedding! Beautiful woodland ceremony, lovely tipi reception and the best people to help you in Vicky and Paul. They were so flexible in helping us move our date (twice!) due to covid, and everything was amazing. My Mother said 'the whole day was like a dream to me!' The absolute best for what we were hoping for in a relaxed wedding surrounded by nature.This was the venue we dreamed of for our wedding! Beautiful woodland ceremony, lovely tipi reception and the best people to help you in Vicky and Paul. They were so flexible in helping us move our date (twice!) due to covid, and everything was amazing. My Mother said 'the whole day was like a dream to me!' The absolute best for what we were hoping for in a relaxed wedding surrounded by nature.

Still pinching myself that this was my wedding....Still pinching myself that this was my wedding....
I am honestly still pinching myself that this was my wedding venue. We looked at several (beautiful) venues initially but none of them felt quite right, though neither of us could articulate why. Wellington Wood fulfilled everything we didn't even know we wanted until we saw it (and that was on a drizzly day in November!!). It is honestly such a special place and I fell in love with the woods immediately. I had never considered an outdoor wedding before, but seeing that beautiful space they use I am honestly still pinching myself that this was my wedding venue. We looked at several (beautiful) venues initially but none of them felt quite right, though neither of us could articulate why. Wellington Wood fulfilled everything we didn't even know we wanted until we saw it (and that was on a drizzly day in November!!). It is honestly such a special place and I fell in love with the woods immediately. I had never considered an outdoor wedding before, but seeing that beautiful space they use

A hidden gem of a wedding venue, we can't recommend it highly enough. To be able to get married outside surrounded by nature and to have our dogs there all day with us was so special, and important for us a couple. Vicky wanted to know every detail ahead of time and offered helpful advice throughout the planning. Paul was on hand all day, coordinating our suppliers in the background, running the bar and making sure we had nothing to worry about at any point. We had the best few days here surrounded by our loved ones, and our wedding day was even more perfect than we imagined it would be. The photos we have don't do the beauty of the place justice.
