Valleyside Barn

We chose Valleyside Barn for a number of reasons - it was absolutely stunning, so, so peaceful too. It was a short walk from a pub that was accommodating our guests and we hired the glamping tents and they were awesome! Another massive factor was that they are dog friendly! The hosts, Emma & Matt were amazing from day one, very accommodating and helpful. Communication was efficient too. We just had the most perfect experience. Would 10/10 recommend them.

The ceremony area was simply breath-taking, providing a picturesque backdrop and the inside of the barn was equally as beautiful, with its rustic charm and elegant touches. What truly made our experience at Valleyside Barn exceptional were the lovely owners, they were incredibly welcoming and accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was nothing short of perfection. We can't express enough how grateful we are for their outstanding hospitality and dedication.

We literally could not be happier with our choice of venue, the barn, outdoor courtyard and grounds are stunning! The owners are so friendly, helpful and accommodating, we knew we were in very capable hands. Emma and Matt went above and beyond to make everything as easy as possible. We were blessed with beautiful weather and got married in their outdoor courtyard which is just so pretty. On the day itself, everything went so smoothly. They made the whole day flow seamlessly.

We were blown away with the style, warmth and beautiful setting of the barn. Wedding planning was made so simple by the efficiency of how Valleyside Barn is run and flexibility to add our personal touch to make the day our own. All the staff on the day, really cared to ensure our wedding was exactly how we imagined it to be. An added bonus is the on-site accommodation which brought a lot of fun to us and our guests for the whole weekend! We truly could not have asked for a better wedding venue.

We stumbled across Valleyside by accident while staying locally for a friend’s wedding and feel so, so lucky we did. We’re absolutely thrilled we chose to have our summer wedding there: beautiful location, brilliant hosts and excellent facilities. Emma and Matt have picked a glorious spot - everyone remarked on how splendid, green and peaceful the surroundings were - and then furnished it with everything you’d want for a wedding. The prep kitchen was a hit with the caterers, the barn was lovely and airy, you’ve the courtyard for the reception drinks, everything is easily accessible for suppliers (and, indeed, the venue is really easy to reach from both Exeter and Tiverton Parkway for your guests)and the honeymoon suite is really comfortable and spacious (crucial for those getting ready with a few too many bridesmaids!). As an event overseer, Emma is excellent: incredibly details-focussed, very calm and just a nice person to boot. She and Matt were such wonderful hosts & did everything they could to make it a perfect day for us (down to the ordering of the chairs, Matt!) - we can’t thank them enough, we had the best day ever - no stress, just huge fun.

We recently attended an event at Valleyside Barn and must commend the high professional standard of their service and warmth of hospitality. There was nothing to fault about either the preparations or event operation, and no request was too much trouble whenever made. Cannot praise or thank enough Matt and Emma.

A lovely venue. Matt and Emma were lovely and supportive. We had a quick turn around inside due to the rain but Emma made sure everything was set up exactly how our daughter wanted it. I would certainly recommend the venue.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our special day at Valleyside Barn on the 8th of July, 2023, and we couldn't have asked for a more magical experience. An amazing wedding venue! We recently had our wedding at Valleyside and it was incredible. Aside from the venue being stunningly beautiful the help we got from Emma and Matt was brilliant. They are extremely organised and calm during the planning period and of course on the day itself. On the day it unfortunately rained, however, Matt & Emma were very calm and we moved into an indoor ceremony (in fact we made history!). Even so, our indoor ceremony was intimate and still special.
