VERY Tasty Food, Amazing Service
I had the pleasure of dining at the Turner Cafe to celebrate my birthday with close friends. The service from our waitress, Ciara, throughout the evening was excellent and I having nothing but praise for her attentiveness (appearing at perfect moments, very knowledgable about the menu, offering suggestions / recommendation with asked). The food comes also with high praise … all of it was very tasty, my wife is vegan and went for the roasted carrots (please keep this on the menu it was sooooo good). The sunset that evening was perfect and this was a great place to watch it. We very much look forward to going back again.

Good tasting freshly cooked food..best views over the harbour!
I bring a guest lecturer here once a month, and have not yet been disappointed. Yes, it is not the cheapest place around, but the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. Exactly what I expect when taking someone out.

Amazing - good food in an art gallery
You can tell you are not in London because the food in the art gallery is good... and you are not left feeling that really you could have another one of those....Reasonably priced and generous portions with plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. Open all day - 10-17.30 with a choice at lunch time of several main dishes. We had a lovely soup - making use of seasonal ingredients without being too try hard. Visiting Margate to see a friend who is a professional artist and lives in the town. While we were waiting for our soup, the director came and said hello... you don;t get that in London galleries either. Lovely spot with views along the sea front and although busy at lunch time, not too much background noise. Other galleries and museums take note!

Exceptional for Margate
Even at Tate Modern member's cafe, you cannot find anything as good and delicious as at Turner Contemporary. An exception place for Margate. The cakes were fresh, moist, homemade style, the coffee as it should be. Lovely staff but a bit slow with service and you'll never get the same waiter, which is not a good idea. (maybe they could improve that). However, I look forward to trying their other dishes another timel. Bravo! https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g503912-d2204407-r811880394-Turner_Contemporary_Cafe-Margate_Isle_of_Thanet_Kent_England.html#

Excellent
Excellent cake - Elderflower syrup .. simply scrumptious, the coffee was outstanding. The chocolate brownie and apple juice very good too and the service was excellent. Even the view on a beautiful day made the visit more enjoyable. Well done carry on the good work . The only fault was it did seem rather pricey but you can’t have everything

Amazing Day!
Big thank you for all your help organising our wedding at the Turner Contemporary on 21st July. The fact that the day ran so smoothly was in no small part down to your efforts, and it was a pleasure to have worked with you at getting married at what is already an iconic venue.

Beautiful, unusual venue with gorgeous sea views
We decided to get married at Turner Contemporary as I grew up in a Kent and really wanted a local venue by the sea. The spaces are amazing, with a really light and airy feel, and you have the option to personalize them with your own decorations. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to give us the perfect day, and the food is lovely. So many of our friends and family said it was the best wedding venue they'd seen.

The Best!
A gallery and building that lifts the whole town. Even if you don't care for the art, the views from the upper balcony are stunning. And it's free - so try it out and you might find you like it.

FAQs

Describe the best wedding that happened at Turner Contemporary Museum?

I love the weddings where the planning is almost as much fun as the day itself and I can honestly say that the majority of our couples enjoy every stage with us - from the first time they see the awe inspiring views, through the flight of imagination when they envisage themselves in the room, to the tasting day and then the actual wedding itself when all the detail comes together. I couldn't choose my favourite wedding because they are all unique and I love them all! My best bit? Maybe when guests I've never met before come up to me and say how much they are loving the food, the atmosphere and the general feeling of belonging in such a wonderful building.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Come and see the venue, walk through your day and imagine detail. Think about how it will look when the sun goes down. Rely on us for advice about food, drink and timing. We've done it before and we know what works and what doesn't.

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

The table decoration I liked best was a mis-match of charity shop blue and white china running the full length of the long table all filled with wild flowers gathered that morning from the local fields. It looked spectacular. And my other favourite touch ( I'm allowed 2 right?) was an activity table for the children with lots of paper, pens, glue, crafts and things to keep them all happy as the speeches and meal continued.
