With it's timber framed facade, this Tudor-age, Grade I listed building, it's gorgeous gardens & flowers, , as well as a choice of Wedding Suites to fit all types of Weddings, is an idyllic place to say 'I Do'. The Westgate Suite, set over two floors with, featuring it's original oak beams, a private bar, as well as a dancefloor for the all important and memorable first dance, and an incredible 'Secret Garden', the perfect setting to capture photos of your day. The historic Whitwell Suite, overlooking the main town of Oundle, with oak panelled walls, and warming log fireplaces, If intimacy is what you are looking for on your special day, then look no further than our Snug Lounge. It's perfect for a small, cosy & intimate informal gathering to celebrate your day. Food is important to us, and we know it's an important part of your day. The Best day!The Best day!
We had just the most fabulous wedding on the 15th October 2023! The Talbot hotel is gorgeous inside and out and their wonderful staff made our day just perfect! We had the afternoon tea which was served and presented beautifully! Everybody absolutely loved all the cakes and sandwiches! We choose the buffet for the evening and the food was delicious! A special thank you to Dorota and Josh for being with us and making our day as wonderful as it could be! We honestly just had the most special day! We will be back to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary! See you soon, Mr & Mrs Roscow! We had just the most fabulous wedding on the 15th October 2023! We had our wedding at The Talbot Hotel in Oundle 3 weeks ago. From start to finish the experience was absolute amazing! Nothing was too much trouble for Dorota and her team ! The rooms , food and service were impeccable. All our guests commented on this too. We would totally recommend for your wedding . Stress free experience!! Lovely hotel and food, hosted my sister wedding party and couldn’t be more helpful! Had a fan which was a life saver as the weather was really hot! Comfy big bed and clean bathroom. Unbelievable ServiceUnbelievable Service
We originally looked at Stamford as a getaway for our wedding night. Was far too expensive so we booked a room here at the talbot. I have to say having travelled worldwide the service here was fantastic. They kindly gave us the oundle suite which was stunning. They didn’t have to and it was a very lovely touch. Was immaculate. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. An absolute gem with superb staff. The gardens grounds and hotel is beautiful. Thank you with all our hearts. We recently held our wedding ceremony at the Talbot. The staff and the venue were absolutely amazing and wonderful! Nothing was too much trouble. We traveled from the USA and arranged the entire event from there….communication was never a problem. They referred us to some amazing local vendors. The whole experience was incredible! Did I mention the staff? Everyone is so friendly and helpful….absolutely brilliant!!We recently held our wedding ceremony at the Talbot. The staff and the venue were absolutely amazing and wonderful! We had our ‘surprise’ wedding here last Tuesday. The venue was beautiful, the food superb and the staff exceptional. They helped us all through the planning and kept our secret from all the guests arriving to what they thought was a birthday party. Fantastic, couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for all your hospitality leading up to and on our wedding day. We were on a tight schedule and are so happy that we were able to get married in my hometown and plan the wedding in a month! We also loved our stay in the Bridal Suite. Absolutely amazing experience here for our wedding, everything handled really well by all staff, despite covid it felt like a normal day with no restrictions! Food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it, hotel rooms lovely and set out well. Nice little note left by cleaners hoping we enjoy our stay. Very clean, tidy and well looked after place. Great for photography too! Definitely recommend for events, very well priced and can not fault the place at all! If you are looking for character and charm then this is the place for you, We had our whole day here in 2005 and we were blown away by the service and the price. We could afford to have twice the amount of people at our wedding than we could have done at the moat house or marriot in peterborough. Bruno the manager could not do enough for us and because of him the whole day went really smoothly, he even entertained the children for us.
