The Bowes Museum

What a lovely Building inside and out as you are driving up to it looks fantastic and inside there is a lot to see great paintings we were there for a wedding what a great location for a wedding the setting is wonderful. The staff where friendly and helpful we enjoyed the experience and would love to go back again when we are next in the area.

We have visited this wonderful museum for many years and decided to have a Golden Wedding celebration there. The team at the Bowes were very professional , friendly and efficient and it was a pleasure to work with them on this event. The day itself was a great success -- beautiful rooms were used , an excellent lunch for nearly 80 people and very good service. I am quite critical but the Bowes was perfect in every respect. Obviously people go to the museum to see it and the exhibits but it is also a wonderful venue for social events and it all helps the museum. Thank you to Team Bowes -Richard A.
