Working at Sudeley Castle is a genuine pleasure. Being a family-owned business and historic house makes for the most unique and personal weddings which feel so inspiring. We only host a small number of weddings each year, meaning I get to know our couples and welcome them back for visits. I often walk around the gardens during the day and always find something new I have never seen before. It really is like stepping back in time.

We offer an 'almost dry hire' experience. You have the use of our stunning gardens and grounds, Orangery for dining with rustic trestle tables and oak cross-back chairs, The Castle Coach House for dancing (you can use the spaces how you wish but this is our favourite combo) and the Chapel for your ceremony if you wish to. We do not charge corkage, so you are welcome to provide all your own drinks, including delicious cocktails. There is also extensive free parking.

Happily Ever AfterHappily Ever After
We fell in love with Sudeley Castle after randomly discovering it on a short mini-break to the Cotswolds in May 2023. We soon decided afterwards that it would be the perfect venue to host our Church wedding. Darcey, April, and Lady Ashcombe were extremely accommodating, patient, kind and professional. They were also very flexible. We were provided with a list of suppliers and prioritised our photographer, videographer and caterer before moving to our choice of music for the ceremony and reception. My wife was exceptional in organising the wedding and worked closely with Darcey and all our suppliers to ensure our wedding day lived up to our expectations. Lady Ashcombe personally granted us permission to have my wife's bridal entrance with a horse drawn carriage (which was a first for Sudeley) and also for me to have my guests and a fellow Lamborghini owners to display their cars on her personal front lawn outside the castle! It was incredible. Our wedding day was truly loving, magical and will stay with us forever. It exceeded our expectations. Darcey and April were so kind in helping my wife with her dress and the co-ordination was incredible. We can't praise the team highly enough. The best day of our lives! The best day of our lives!
Everything was perfect from start to finish as a result of Darcey and the team. All of our guests keep talking about Sudeley and how beautiful it is. The wedding pre meets and visits to the Castle were really helpful and we particularly found Darcey's approach very 'can do' with nothing being difficult to arrange / agree. The security staff were so friendly, we loved their energy on the day and were even very kindly given a lift to the after party down the road! We would highly recommend Sudeley as a wedding venue and a place to visit to anyone. We're excited for future trips to the Cotswolds as we will look forward to walking around Sudeley for many years to come. Sudeley Castle is breathtaking and it’s magnificent scenery is only boosted by Annie the events coordinator who went above and beyond into making our day run as smoothly as possible! Not only is the setting absolutely breathtaking, it’s vast size allowed us ample room to be able to take a whole range of photos with our friends and family on our special day. We were so soaked up in the moment that we wish we had time to take more! Sudeley Castle is breathtaking and it’s magnificent scenery is only boosted by Annie the events coordinator who went above and beyond into making our day run as smoothly as possible! Wow. Simply wow! What a venue! Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds is the most magical and spectacular wedding venue you could ever imagine. I have always dreamt of having the perfect wedding day and getting married in this spectacular venue sure lives up to it. Annie, the wedding co ordinator was simply amazing, she took away ever single stress or worry that I had and took it on as her own. She simply is the best asset to Sudeley! The castle will always hold a special place in my heart. It truly is the most wonderful and spectacular venue ❤️Wow. Simply wow! What a venue! Sudeley Castle was the most perfect venue. We had a blessing in the Chapel and had our wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Hall following drinks in the Rose Gardens. All our guests said how beautiful the venue was and we could not have had a more beautiful venue. Sudeley Castle was the most perfect venue. We honestly had the best day of our entire lives. It was everything we dreamed of and more. Everyone has been flooding us with messages saying what an utter blast they had too. Sudeley was just the best venue. The buildings and grounds are beautiful and breathtaking. I wanted our guests to continually be surprised throughout the day with different locations for different wedding elements, taking them on a journey. Sudeley really facilitated that and gave our guests a really magical experience. We honestly had the best day of our entire lives. It was everything we dreamed of and more. The majestic and traditional feel of Sudeley Castle and St. Mary’s Chapel were the quintessentially English backdrop we sought for our international wedding and the support from Annie, the event manager, was second to none and we knew we were in safe hands from the start. The suppliers recommended by Sudeley Castle also exceeded our expectations and helped to deliver a magical ceremony and unforgettable experience which both we and our guests were immensely impressed by. The setting of my magical wedding. One of the best days of my life. Professional staff helped work with my planner to ensure a magical day. It’s worth visiting in regular time too. Only place on private property where a queen is buried in England. The gardens are spectacular and a real treat to visit. There's a special culture evident amongst the staff whether it be the sincere well wishes of the volunteers or those directly involved in shaping and coordinating our wedding celebration. Special thanks go to Sarah for her guidance, navigating the proceedings, which made the day such a success. Lee's mouth-watering menu and Greg overseeing the evening catering ensured it really was a peerless service. Immediately I was made to feel welcome (trust me, not always the case at a wedding venue where things are frenetic). Sarah was very efficient and exacting in her approach with a lovely air of enjoyment and enthusiasm for her role. She was also seemingly relaxed which really helped everyone involved in the smooth running of proceedings. Every member of staff I met throughout the afternoon was extremely professional and I cannot speak more highly of them. I would have no reservation in recommending your stunning venue to any prospective couples.
