Description

We are open to your ideas, so please talk to us. Whether an intimate cosy winter wedding in the house by open log fires or a summer marquee event for up to 180 guests, we can accommodate pretty much anything. The beautiful ornate Yellow Room is licensed for civil ceremonies, but if you would rather your ceremony take place on the lawn, you only have to say. Alternatively, you could get married at any of the 6 local churches, all of which have been popular with our couples and start your reception with drinks on the lawn and in the house before moving to the marquee on the rear lawn for the wedding breakfast and party. Our on-site accommodation for up to 10 in the private guest house and the luxury Bridal Suite, is always a winner with couples and their friends and families, as it gives your wedding a 'long weekend in a country house' feel.

Best day ever ! Amazing venue !

There isn’t enough I could say about Sprivers Mansion as the venue is simply stunning! From the moment I saw it I knew I had to get married here . The grounds are amazing and there is so much land so it makes for lots of great photo opportunities. The marque is also stunning and spacious and there’s lots of ouside space . We got married outside and it was beautiful . I cannot rate this venue enough and Joanne who runs Sprivers is equally amazing . I gave Jo a vision of what I wanted my wedding to be like and it was exactly that. She is a great organiser and knows lots of suppliers. If you’re like me and feel overwhelmed organising a wedding don’t be as Jo will always be there to guide you along the way.

Absolutely perfect

We couldn't have hoped for anything more wonderful for our wedding ceremony - it was an absolutely magical setting. During the morning the suite of bridal rooms made 'getting ready' great fun and the ceremony room is absolutely beautiful. Interior of the house plus the stunning gardens are just perfect for photos - and Jo made everything so relaxed and thought of everything. Would recommend to anyone!

The venue is stunning, inside and out!

Had my wedding here in November and we are so glad we chose Sprivers Mansion. This was our number one pick from the get go and Jo has been brilliant from our first contact. Jo is such a friendly and helpful person that everything has been so easy. The venue is stunning, inside and out, it was perfect for our intimate wedding. It has a lovely bridal suite and the Rose Wing cottage allowed for additional guests to stay.

The Mansion and Marquee were perfect!

Sprivers Mansion was the most perfect venue for our wedding in May and we cannot recommend it highly enough! We had the absolute best day in the most beautiful surrounding. The Mansion and Marquee were perfect and we couldn't be happier. Jo was absolutely amazing throughout from our first viewing to the actual day and made us feel so relaxed and welcome and was key in making the day run so smoothly. We cannot thank you enough!

The most magical day.

When we got married at Sprivers earlier this year and it was the most magical day. We knew Sprivers was where we wanted to get married when we saw it in person. Stunning Venue with bags of character

I've photographed here a couple of times. Sprivers is a gorgeous venue with fabulous rooms and beautiful mature gardens. The interior is wonderful and the rooms upstairs are perfect for getting ready in with lots of original details and colourful decor. A handsome house with a touch of class!

Best autumnal wedding!

My husband and I had THE best wedding day at a Sprivers mansion! Everybody commented on how beautiful the venue was and very private (there’s no sharing with other couples as the venue is yours for the entire weekend!) Our wedding day was Saturday 29th September and we were SO Lucky with the weather as we got married outside. With temperatures of 22 degrees at the end of September, we couldn’t believe our luck! The house is fantastic for photos and the marquee is a blank canvas that allows you to transform the venue into whatever you dream of! Best day ever!

A complete hidden gem

Sprivers is simply beautiful! Its romantic Georgian facade and beautiful English country gardens make for a lovely intimate setting. You really feel like the place is yours and Jo (venue manager) does everything in her power to make it the perfect day for you. We received so many compliments on our amazing venue and we felt that for the money, nothing came close! Don’t hesitate! Book it now!

What 3 words: rider.momentous.abundance It is best to put Sprivers Mansion in to Google Maps, as it is at the end of a very long drive way in the middle of the estate. There are multiple gates in to the estate, some of which are locked, but please use the entrance on Lamberhurst Road opposite the turning for Spelmonden Road.

Describe the best wedding that happened at Sprivers Mansion?

When it rained heavily one August Saturday from morning til night and the couple totally embraced it, even sitting by the campfire with their friends until the wee hours, totally soaking wet, but laughing and having the best time.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Make sure you use the on site accommodation, where possible, for the most helpful people among your friends/family as there is always a lot more to do than you anticipate and be sure to give both myself and the front of house manager as much information as possible on both of our check lists. Communication is everything!

What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?

The Labrador wearing a GoPro camera on his collar to catch the day's action. The Skype session during the ceremony with the bride's Iranian mother who was unable to get a visa was very moving, as there were lots of tears. The father of the bride's Ceilidh band playing a full set at his own daughter's wedding. The stunning coach and Fresian horses taking the bride to the village church and bringing the couple back for the reception.

Where’s the best photo spot at Sprivers Mansion?

The formal gardens, the Rose Garden, the Wild Flower Meadow are all lovely, but there is also 100 acres of National Trust estate that offer so many lovely old buildings, brick walls, ponds and sequoia trees dating from the 1800s.

Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at Sprivers Mansion?

We had Katie Price and Kris Boyson last summer, does that count.....?!! We have some more this summer, but I'm not allowed to say who .....

What’s your favourite canapé?

Our in-house caterer the Curious Eatery are so amazingly talented, that it wold be too difficult to choose a favourite

What’s your favourite midnight treat?

We allow pizza/crepe/fish & chip vans on site to serve all sorts of goodies to hungry guests, so any of those would hit the spot for me

What is Sprivers Mansion most unique feature?

It has to be the location. There is only one house in the 100 acre National Trust estate surrounding the house, so the house feels very private and secluded.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

The fact that we only offer 12 weekend long weddings per year which means couples and their guests can truly relax and enjoy the set up process and enjoy being with each other for the whole weekend. There is definitely no conveyor belt feeling whatsoever at this venue.
