Just two hours from central London via Saxmundham Station and with convenient access to the A12, Snape Maltings is easily reached from across the UK.

10 licenced wedding venues and reception areas, ranging from one of the smallest venues in the UK, perfect for intimate vowels, through to the spectacular Concert Hall stage for the ultimate wow-factor.

With a rich and resonant past, built by Newson Garrett, the site was once a thriving hub, sending barley and malt across Britain and Europe. Following the decline of the malting industry, the buildings now Grade II listed were given new life in the 1960s when composer Benjamin Britten and his partner Peter Pears transformed them into a cultural centre for the growing Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts. Snape Maltings continues to host world-class concerts and events, renowned for its exceptional acoustics and inspiring atmosphere.

Snape Maltings is a truly unique setting for a wedding. Tucked away in the Suffolk countryside, it’s surrounded by nature reserves, sculptures, and the wild beauty of the marshes. For Zoe, this place meant more than just a pretty backdrop. She grew up visiting here with family and was especially drawn to the Barbara Hepworth sculptures dotted around the grounds. It made the perfect setting for their intimate day — meaningful, relaxed, and quietly stunning.Snape Maltings is a truly unique setting for a wedding. Traditions also went out of the window entirely. Getting ready to together to the point of Gareth actually helping do up Linnea’s dress, walking to the ceremony together as a family, walking into the ceremony together…as a family. It really was just extra special in every way.' We wanted to take one more opportunity to thank you for all your help to make our wedding absolutely amazing! Easily one of the most magical places to get married for music lovers. I photographed a wedding here and as a musician myself I was just blown away by how special it felt. Plus it’s just a really unique setting for a wedding.
