This was the weekend of Storm Éowyn. After travel plans and flights being changed all guests made it. Our wedding day itself at the Slieve Donard Hotel was amazing. Stunning venue, inside and out in the setting of the Mournes. Service and food outstanding - we could just relax and enjoy our day knowing all was in expert hands. From start to finish the Slieve Donard were phenomenal in every way. Eugene & John especially made our wedding as stress free as possible & made us feel super relaxed. On the day of the wedding he was like batman, always standing right there for whatever you needed even for the bridal party & guests. .As brides always think they are unorganised, I rang John everyday & as always he was on the ball helping me organise & feel stress free. He was always up for a good laugh.From start to finish the Slieve Donard were phenomenal in every way. Eugene & John especially made our wedding as stress free as possible & made us feel super relaxed. On the day, Niamh, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely outstanding. Her calm and professional approach ensured that everything ran smoothly, allowing us to truly enjoy every moment without worry. Both honestly cared so much for us and made us feel so special. The food was phenomenal – Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting it! The service was also very quick and attention to our guests requirements were perfect. The staff were flawless, not only putting up with crazy requests, but also being there all day and in the morning after. They handled everything perfectly. As a wedding photographer I am extremely lucky to get to some of the best wedding venues in the country and the Slieve Donard is most definitely one of my favourite spots to get to. As a wedding supplier I am always looked after at the Slieve Donard extremely well, making sure I am fed and watered throughout each wedding I photograph there. Every member of staff is very friendly and nothing is a problem for them when asked. I didn't think that the hotel could get any better than it already was when it closed for refurbishment and wow, it is absolutely stunning!! Every room is unreal! And what about the view out the front looking at the Mournes, amazing!
