Description

Riverlands is a wedding venue for people looking for something different, relaxed and rustic with the freedom to create a wedding, event or celebration which fits them. Set on our family farm in open countryside in a beautiful riverside location, Riverlands is the perfect, peaceful location in which to hold your special day. The stunning views provide you with a wealth of unusual photo opportunities. You can get married in the licenced 18th century granary barn, enjoy drinks and games in the courtyard, field and secret garden, chill by the fire-pit on luxurious leather chesterfield sofas, and eat, drink and dance in the 18x9m mid century wooden party barn. All the facilities are exclusively yours for the duration of your event, to give you complete privacy.

From start to finish, Ed, Kate and Kylar were the perfect hosts for us, so laid back, so easy to organise with, and the venue they have is second to none. The ultimate day that we already wish we could do over again!

The most perfect venue
We got married at Riverlands in July 2024 and cannot begin to describe how perfect the venue was for us. We knew we wanted a venue that would allow me to party but my husband to chill and spend the night talking to our guests, and Riverlands provided just that. With their two barns and the outdoor seating area, we had the most perfect mix of party and chill. Ed and Kate the owners were phenomenal and Kyler the venue manger went above and beyond throughout the day/night/morning after. We rented the farm house, cottage and shepherds hut for the wedding party and also booked the camper van spot for the night too. Riverlands and the surrounding areas provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Wish we could relive it over and over and over again

The most amazing wedding venue
From the moment we walked into Riverlands, we knew that it was going to be our wedding venue. Kate and Ed are both incredibly personable owners, and proud of the venue that they have created. It is a beautifully cared for site with upgrades which improve the site year on year. Everyone in the team at Riverlands worked efficiently, especially wedding coordinator Kyler who seemed to know exactly what we needed before we did. Kyler is organised, flexible and fun and ensured that our day matched our vision and ran smoothly. The staff as a whole had a good time with our guests and even joined in with some of the celebrations! One of the strong points of having a wedding at Riverlands, is that they don’t host too many weddings in a week, meaning that we could go to the venue the night before to set up, stay over, have our day and have the day after to collect our things. Kate and Ed also made bacon sandwiches the morning after for our guests to purchase. This was a lovely touch to continue the celebrations for a little longer. We could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding day with a more wonderful team. What had the potential to be a stressful day was the exact opposite. Thank you, Ed, Kate, Kyler and team.

Our daughter got married at Riverlands yesterday. It was a perfect day in a brilliant location. The staff there do everything possible to make sure everything runs like clockwork. Can't rate this place highly enough and their recommendations for other services was spot on. Made a special day that will live in our memories for ever. Thank you so much.

Absolute perfection!
Wow, how do we even begin to sum up our wedding. Absolute perfection from start to finish. From the minute we viewed Riverlands we knew it was the perfect venue for us. Kate and Ed are so warm and welcoming and they could not have done more for us, from letting us take over their gorgeous home for the weekend to printing out speeches for us last minute. Kyler and the team are exceptional at what they do and you can tell they genuinely love making sure you have the best day ever. We can’t thank you enough for going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly on the day. If you are getting married here you are about to have the best day (and pizza) of your lives. We wish we could do it all over again.

The perfect day
We had our wedding here last week. Throughout the whole experience Kate, Ed and the team were so helpful and kind in their advice, suggestions and time. It is the perfect venue for you to add your own personal touches to or if you want to leave as is. Our guests were so complimentary of the whole day but the main takeaway was how chilled and cosy the venue felt. We can't thank the Riverlands team enough for helping us create our perfect day.

Best. Day. Ever!
Where to start?! We had the most perfect day. The venue was amazing, exactly what we’d been looking for. Really informal, laid back vibe. The barns and surrounding grounds are so so beautiful. Ed and Kate were so lovely, helpful and attentive from start to finish. Kate was always on hand to answer questions, no matter how big or small and was such a support on the day too. Kyler and her team were also amazing throughout the day – everything ran smoothly, nothing was too much trouble, they were all so lovely and really looked after all of our guests, who were all so impressed with the venue and highly complementary about Kyler and her team. A special thanks to Ed who saved the day when our suppliers food truck broke down behind the scenes, we didn't know a thing until the day after. Really can’t recommend Riverlands highly enough. Wish we could do it all again. Thank you again Kate, Ed, Kyler and the team – you made our day so special and we are so grateful. Kayleigh & Lindsay Xxxx

A beautiful and wonderful day
Riverlands is such a beautiful place to get married, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Kate and Ed were incredibly helpful and no task was too big for them. The farmhouse and cottage were very comfortable and everyone for very well taken care of. Kyler is also a shining star and made sure the day ran smoothly. The most magical wedding venue
Seriously don’t know where to begin with this venue. After only having 12 months to find a new wedding date/place since our previous wedding venue went into liquidation, we very nearly gave up on the Wedding idea and eloped instead. That was until our amazing photographers recommended Riverlands. And wow; it did not disappoint. From the second we walked in we just knew we had to get married here. As cliquè as it sounds, it was definitely ‘the one’. And that feeling only increased once we met the lovely owners, Kate and Ed. Who cannot do enough for you! From beginning to end they were absolutely wonderful. As were all the staff at Riverlands, and everyone who managed to make the day flow as well as it did. Huge shout out to Kyler, who is the wedding coordinator of dreams. It is impossible to be stressed around her, she puts all of your worries at ease. Solves any problems you may have. I am an absolute control freak, but with Kyler I knew everything would be taken care of, and I didn’t feel the need to worry whatsoever. She was incredible from the very start to the very end. Friends and family could not stop complimenting the venue, it truly is stunning. The house and cottage made the whole experience so much better for us, as it was an extra touch having all our nearest and dearest able to stay on site the night before and after the wedding. I could honestly go on, but I am aware this might be the longest review ever written! So I’ll leave it with, absolutely 5⭐️’s, would recommend this beautiful venue to anyone! Thank you all, so so much! Xx

Wow, what an amazing day!
From the first moment we visited the Riverlands we knew this was the venue we wanted to get married at. The warm welcome from Ed & Kate made you feel like they would look after you every step of the way and they certainly did that. When we started organising our wedding, they talked us through every option and there was no pushing us into anything that we didn’t need or want. They were always on hand to answer any questions by email and we were always welcomed back to the venue to have a look around to check on measurements, locations for decorations and outdoor games. On our Wedding Day, we couldn’t have wished for anything better, Kyler (the organiser) was amazing, she came over to the cottage first thing to check in and go through the running of the day, she kept everything running on time and let you know when you need to move on, she felt like part of the family, she just made the whole day run so smoothly and she also kept our dogs entertained at times. We hired Born BoHo to decorate the venue and hired the outdoor games from which did not disappoint, it looked amazing, we hired Annikas apron for our caterers and the food was honestly some of the best we have ever had. Thank you all for making our day the best day ever, I wish we could do it everyday 😊
