Quintessential fine dining at its absolute best. My husband and I recently visited Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay on the first day of our honeymoon; and it was the highlight of our trip. The staff and overall experience set the standard for the rest of our stay in the UK - and one that other restaurants came close to, but did not exceed. We have talked about the food and the kindness of the staff everyday since we dined here.

Honestly possibly one of the best gastronomic experiences of my lifetime: nine course mystery meal with wine pairing options. The staff were awesome, the food extraordinary, and ambiance was perfect. Lives up to Gordon Ramsay's exacting standards.

A perfection, I would say. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, everything is perfect. The staff are nice too, food was excellent. Every pieces just melts in your mouth.

Outstanding. Just the one star? Should be two. One of the best I have had - 9 courses of excellence, service was immaculate, recommend the clos du jaugueyron haut-médoc 2015, only 26 covers makes it very intimate. Excellent!

Superb experience at Restaurant 1890. Everything was perfect - food, wine, service, setting, ambience, etc. It's not often a restaurant gets every element 100% delivered & perfectly balanced but Restaurant 1890 certainly felt it was to us. The team were absolutely superb with the perfect balance of knowledge, formality and personality. And it goes without saying, the food is amazing! We also had a wonderful wine pairing. For the whole evening we were made to feel very special.

What looked to be an amazing gastronomic experience I was looking forward to, and I am pleased to say it was every bit as amazing as I had hoped. The service was performed at the highest standard with attention to every small detail. The waiters and hosts respectfully and competently checked on our table without becoming intrusive. Each dish was served with a brief description of the ingredients without overdramatic history lessons. Each plate looked and tasted equally incredible.

We went to eat at restaurant 1890 to experience the new one star Michelin in town. Didn’t disappoint, the tasting menu was excellent you could really see the small details and thought that went in to the dishes. The wine and service was amazing. Overall an excellent experience
