Tremendous!

Penshurst team were absolutely tremendous, both in the lead-up to the event and on the day itself. Everything ran so smoothly and it felt like nothing was too much trouble. The ambience you created, the delicious food and drinks, the impeccable service from the waiting staff... everything was perfect. The team made sure that we didn't have to worry about a thing on the day, so that we could just enjoy spending time with our loved ones.

Thank you so much for our daughter's wedding celebration such a phenomenal success. You all looked after us so well which enabled an extraordinarily happy day. Thank you for the painstaking organisation beforehand and for all the kind and patient responses to our innumerable questions! The food was delicious and much commented upon - its amazing to have produced such a feast for so many people. All of the waiting staff performed exceptionally well too.

We absolutely loved the venue, as did all of our guests. The event planners were absolutely amazing, and we loved working with you. All staff were expertly turned out, very friendly, and efficient. Everyone has been singing your praises, and we could not have asked for a better place to hold our wedding

My son and now daughter-in-law held their wedding and reception at Penshurst Place. Everything went smoothly. I have never seen so many staff allocated to a wedding reception which was a seated meal. The staff were highly prepared, organised, attentive and professional. Every member of the Events Team knew where they should be and did a superb job. The quality of the food served was excellent. Everyone had a great time . A big thank you to the whole team.

I'd like to compliment the Penshurst Place team on the most wonderful day! Everyone has said it is the best wedding they have ever attended! Seamless!

We had the most wonderful wedding day at Penshurst Place and a seamless experience during the build-up right through to the day itself. The entire team were incredibly helpful from the day we first visited. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the venue & gardens and had nothing but positive words to say about the quality of the food & drinks and the service provided. Special compliments to the chef, who put together a fantastic menu.

Brilliant Day!

The hospitality team took all of the stress out of planning our wedding and the day itself was an absolute dream from beginning to end. Everyone commented on how gorgeous the baron’s hall looked and the ‘kids room’ upstairs worked brilliantly. The catering was fantastic and we were looked after brilliantly from the very first time we made contact with Penshurst Place, until we have collected everything the day after the wedding.

Completely perfect wedding venue

Our wedding was better than we ever dreamed it would be and so much of that was down to Nikki, Liz and the rest of the team at Penshurst Place being so incredibly kind, helpful and professional throughout the whole process. From the moment we first got in touch to arrange a viewing, they were always having been on hand to answer our queries and advise on the best approach - it has taken so much stress out of the planning process which has been remarkable. The day itself was completely perfect - the Baron's Hall and the grounds looked stunning and everything ran like clockwork! I'm particularly grateful to the team for setting up our welcome drinks outside; the weather was definitely less than ideal but it meant so much to me that we could spend some time outside in the beautiful gardens. We have received so, so many comments from guests on how incredibly special the venue was and how brilliant the team were, as well as many compliments on the food. I would recommend Penshurst Place so highly to absolutely anyone planning a wedding; it was perfect. Thank you so much to the team!

The medieval Baron's Hall. It was completed in 1341 and features an original 60 feet high chestnut-beamed roof.

What part of your business are you most proud of?

Our team. Outside of the immediate weddings team is a small collection of helpers from other departments who are just as passionate about weddings here as we are. Many of us married here ourselves and they all help out with getting the rooms ready for our couples if we need them.
