Description

At Middle Coombe Farm we specialise in weekend weddings of 20-110 guests. Our historic, sustainably run 400 acre farm, cider barn & woodlands are exclusively yours from Friday morning until Monday morning. Although we are now offer a One day package too. We have been hosting weddings at Middle Coombe Farm for 14 years & all our couples tell us a weekend together is a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends for one of the most important events of your life. Magical & relaxed are two words used to sum up weddings at Middle Coombe Farm. The countryside & feeling of Middle Coombe Farm adds lightness to your event whilst the history of the house means your wedding is still rooted in reality and serious in the right places. We are licensed for ceremonies in the gorgeous, thatched, cider barn, drawing room of the grade II* listed farmhouse (for more intimate ceremonies) and now also under the oak tree in woodlands surrounded by nature.

The best wedding venue!
I have worked as a wedding photographer at Middle Coombe Farm for over 10 years now and it is still in my top 3 Devon wedding venues! It is such a beautiful space, with a lovely vibe. A good friend of mine was wed here too and she still raves about it. A wonderful country wedding venue, with woodlands, a cider barn and a swimming pool :) What more could you want?! xx

One of the best wedding venues in Devon by far
I LOVE working at Middle Coombe Farm, It is incredible! Before I get onto the site I have to mention how wonderful the staff are. So warm and friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much to ask and it feels like a home from home. The woodland area where you can get married under a giant ancient oak is nothing short of spectacular. There are woodland walks perfect for beautiful photos. The option of having an indoor ceremony is the stunning cider barn. It really is a magical place that is unlike any other venue I have been to.

The Most Amazing Day
From the moment we contacted Angela and Clydie, they provided us with all the information we needed, including handy tips we hadn't even thought about. They are so welcoming and will try their best to accommodate every want and need as best they can. We were able to visit as often as we needed during our planning stages. They make sure the suppliers you choose know how everything works to ensure the day runs smoothly. The day was everything we had dreamed of and more. We're so glad we chose Middle Coombe Farm for our wedding day.

You made sure that we all had a wonderful time
We have just returned from a very special wedding weekend for my daughter Katie and her fiancé Christoff . The woodland setting is magical, the accommodation quirky and comfortable plus the pool, jacuzzi, fire pit & BBQ area made great places for social gatherings. A huge thank you to Angela and all the staff for pulling out all the stops to make the weekend so enjoyable whilst adhering to Covid regulations. You made sure that we all had a wonderful time and we hope to return in the future for a family get together for those who couldn't be make it due to Covid.

Words don't do it justice you must see it yourself
My daughter and her boyfriend have just had their wedding here and I have been completely blown away with the charm and beauty of the place. The owner and staff here are absolutely brilliant, the whole place is heaven on earth. The venue for the wedding, set in the mature old woods under a huge old oak tree, I have never experienced anything like it. Words don't do it justice you must see it yourself. WOW !!!

We chose Middle Coombe Farm as the setting and the ethos of the venue really suited us and what we wanted for a wedding. Angela and Clydie were fantastic from the first time we met them right through to the big day, and even the day after. Middle Coombe Farm offers a beautiful location and a huge amount of flexibility to make your big day completely individual and unique to you.

The best day of our lives
Middle coombe farm was the most lovely place to have a small private wedding, with a gorgeous rustic cider barn, a marquee and Beautiful acres of land in the heart of Devon all to ourselves, it was the best day and all our family and guests said how beautiful and unique the venue was. We were also able to decorate the venue how we liked with our own wedding theme which was a massive bonus and pick our own wedding suppliers eg the meal, bar and band, the staff at middle coombe farm were nothing but accommodating, so kind and so helpful to my wife and I, throughout the 2 years we were planning our wedding and especially on the wedding day. We cannot recommend this beautiful venue enough. My wife and I will be back soon for a little trip away to relax and enjoy the facilities again.

Which has changed throughout the years from taking our recycling to the recycling centre in the early years, to the more current drive to reduce food waste and single use plastics. Which our couples in the last 3 years have really taken on board. Also taking care of the historical Grade II* buildings with great love and our team, of course!
