Le Petit Chateau is a stately home and venue in Otterburn, Northumberland, that hosts weddings and other milestone events. This fixture in the idyllic Northumbrian countryside makes a truly impressive setting for any gathering. This venue's staff specialises in providing the tastefully traditional. However, they are also famous for delivering daringly different. We offer Affordable Luxury for every season.
Facilities and Capacity:
Le Petit Chateau features several attractive options to hold a celebration or ceremony. Combining romance with fantasy, the beautiful Belle Époque chapel is complete with a grand marble fireplace. The Ballroom brings the outdoors in with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open straight onto the Mediterranean Gardens. On-site accommodation includes 30 ensuite boutique bedrooms, many with roll-top baths, garden views, four-poster beds and rooftop terraces. All this is available to hire for your special day that will promise to be full of French style.

- MMel and Fred04/12/2025The most amazing day! The most amazing day!We had our wedding here on the 23rd September and it was the best day of our lives! Form start to finish the staff here went above and beyond to make our day the most memorable day of our lives. Tia our wedding manager and Ian our master of ceremonies were terrific I honestly could not think of a better pair! The day ran so smoothly and us and all our guests had the best time. All our guests spoke about how lovely the day was and how unbelievably beautiful the venue was. We could not have picked a better place for us! Thank you so much! Mr and Mrs Main! - KKessiah and Stephen Furber04/12/2025The best day of our lives ❤️The best day of our lives ❤️We had our wedding at Le Petit Chateau on the 2nd October 2025, it was forecast rain but the wedding gods were kind and shone sunlight down on our special day instead and the photos came out perfectly, we were concerned about the weather at that time of year but it stayed relatively warm and no need for warmer clothes. The day truly couldn’t have gone better. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the perfect setting for our day, and everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. A huge shout-out to Peter, the master of ceremonies. He was incredible. He kept the whole day flowing effortlessly, made sure we were always looked after, and was right there whenever we needed anything… even holding the groom’s beer during the photos! We’re so grateful for how seamlessly everything came together. Yes it was 3hrs from our hometown but it was and repeated by our guests absolutely worth every mile . Nothing was too much trouble for anyone up to and on our wedding day. Living over 3 hours away we arranged a virtual tour of the venue and then followed this up with a trip to see the venue in person. We instantly fell in love with the chateau and got all the feels that this was 'the one.' All of the staff we dealt with from those that completed the tours, Beth (office) and Tia & Tim on the day were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, correspondence was quick and seamless. We absolutely had THE BEST DAY ever! Food and drink were amazing and we were lucky enough to be able to get experience the gardens the night before which further added to our amazing wedding. For us personally we wanted our wedding to be laid back, fun, romantic and give ourselves and our family a day to remember. And that it was. I viewed Le Petit Chateau at one of the many open days they offer and we instantly fell in love. It felt like being abroad without the travel. Which was ironic as my husband wanted an abroad wedding and I didn’t. So it was that perfect feeling of meeting half way. We then met Lauren our wedding coordinator who was just an absolute ray of sunshine and we so enjoyed our meetings with her. She just made everything seem as though it wasn’t any bother to them what so ever. I was also a DIY bride and I explained I was worrying my decorations I’d made up wouldn’t look the part. So she actually gave me a date when they had no wedding on so I could go down there get myself a coffee and do a trial run with my table decorations which just took all my stress away when I saw it set up. On the day it’s self it wasn’t military like I expected a wedding day to feel. The staff made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and kept us right with everything. It was exactly as I wanted - laid back and magical. They kept making sure Jonny and I had small moments together before the next big thing just to check in with one another. I just couldn’t fault it at all. My guests were all blown away by the venue, the food, the atmosphere, the bar staff. We so had lots of compliments regarding our master of ceremonies who was Ian. He was absolutely lovely and such a kind soul. I could go on but I would be here forever. I would do it all again in a heartbeat and wouldn’t change a thing. It was just the perfect place for us and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
