Homme House

We got married in July 2024 (sorry for the delay in leaving the review!) and feel incredibly privileged to have had our wedding at Homme House. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day for our wedding and had an outdoor ceremony next to the summerhouse, with incredible views over the countryside. We fell in love with Homme instantly during our first visit, and did not hesitate to make our booking later that evening. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and full of history, character and wildlife. Homme is an incredible family home, not a corporate wedding venue, and this really shone through in every aspect. We were warned by friends and family how stressful planning and organising a wedding is, but we were both delighted and shocked with how smooth and 'easy' everything seemed to be, from start to finish. This is very much down to Charlie and Sarah! We cannot give enough praise and thanks for your help, organisation, positivity, and wisdom. We found that nearly every detail we could think of had already been thought of and answered in your online resources, and where we did occasionally have questions, we would email them over and receive thoughtful and quick responses. We were completely at ease both during the build up and over our wedding weekend knowing that we were in safe hands, and are very grateful for all your work behind the scenes over the weekend to help things run absolutely perfectly. There is so much more we could say, much more than we could fit into a short review - but Homme House is an incredibly special house, and has a very special place in our hearts. We are honoured to now be a very small part of its history, and cannot wait to visit again in the future - hopefully for a stay in the summerhouse to celebrate our first anniversary!

We were married at Homme House in August 2024 and from the day we first visited in December 2022, Charlie and Sarah couldn't have been more helpful. Homme House is picture perfect and provides the flexibility that so many other venues don't. Our wedding day was even better than we could have imagined and so many of our guests commented on what an amazing venue it is. The choice of the different outdoor and indoor spaces that you can utilise really makes the difference and provides some amazing backdrops for pictures! We also loved the fact that our nearest and dearest could stay at the venue and on the night before the wedding we hosted a BBQ, meaning we could spend more time with our guests before the big day. The bedrooms are stunning with amazing views from all angles, we loved the individuality and character that each one has. We would wholeheartedly recommend Homme House, Charlie and Sarah are dream hosts.

The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful and you can really feel the love and dedication that are poured into the place by the family. We felt so lucky to host our family and friends here for a whole weekend and to be surrounded by so much history and character. It’s fair to say Homme now holds a special place in all of our hearts and it was very hard to leave behind once the wedding was over. Charlie and Sarah are absolutely amazing and offer so much more than the location itself. They both went above and beyond to help us throughout the whole process - from the early planning stages with advice and supplier recommendations, to the big day itself helping to make sure that everything ran smoothly. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and we cannot thank them both enough for their hard work in helping our day to be as brilliant as it was! We would wholeheartedly recommend Homme House and will never forget how amazing our time here was, we can’t wait to go back and visit again in the future!

One of the things we loved most about Homme House was that it is not a high-volume, cookie-cutter wedding venue with a very restrictive set of packages and options to choose from. Instead, we were given complete freedom and support to design our day however we wanted. Charlie and Sarah are amazing and were incredibly helpful throughout the whole process - both during the planning stage with advice and supplier recommendations, and on the day itself helping to make sure that everything ran smoothly. The house itself and the gardens are incredibly beautiful and are overflowing with history and character. It felt very special to be able to stay there with all our family and make it our home for two nights. We would wholeheartedly recommend Homme House to couples who are planning a wedding of any size. Even with only a small number of guests, the house very felt cosy and homely. We feel so lucky to have been able to hold our wedding here and can’t wait to go back and visit again in the future.

Homme was the most perfect venue for our wedding day. We went minimal on the decorations as to not take anything away from the natural beauty that is Homme House. I fell in love with it just from the drive in. A huge wave of nostalgia hit me upon seeing the building for the first time. I grew up being dragged around national trust/English heritage places as a child, most of the time I found boring so the irony wasn't missed with my parents when they saw our venue of choice at jury how much it reminded them of those places. I made excuses to view the venue or talk about the venue at any given moment. But was all worth it because people still today, a few months later are still talking about how beautiful it was. Huge thanks to the keepers Charlie and Sarah. I wish you the very best with not only future weddings but with their own lives as without them, I don't think Homme would have the same appeal. They truly add character to the place and want the utmost best for their clients so I in turn want the best for them

We had a fantastic wedding at Homme House and are so glad we chose it as our venue. Right from the first meeting with Charlie, we knew we would be in safe hands for what seemed like a daunting task ahead of us! Responding to our many emails within minutes, showing our families around the house and giving us various tips and tricks from their extensive wedding experience, Charlie & Sarah were incredibly helpful in the run up to our big day. We also chose the majority of our wedding suppliers from their extensive list of recommendations. On the weekend of our wedding, we felt very privileged to be staying in the majestic house, feeling like we were left alone but with Charlie & Sarah always magically around when you needed them! Our guests were suitably impressed, likening it to a very grand house party! All the finishing touches, for example arranging the bouquets around the house and serving a delicious breakfast the morning after, were the cherry on the cake for us. Our family stayed in the nearby coach house which was equally gorgeous. We look forward to visiting again soon, perhaps for an anniversary to relive the magic of the day.

We knew from the moment we first drove up the driveway of Homme House that it was a special place but, after spending the most amazing weekend there for our wedding in April, it’s fair to say Homme now has an incredibly special place in our hearts, as well as the hearts of our friends and family. The photos alone are stunning but as soon as you enter the house, you can feel the love that is poured into the place by the family. Charlie was an absolute joy to work with throughout the planning process, and helped us to feel so much better about the somewhat daunting process of planning an entire wedding. Everything was dealt with so efficiently and, on the wedding weekend, Charlie and Sarah really went above and beyond to help ensure everything ran to the highest standard and as smoothly as possible. We were made to feel so welcome from the first viewing, all the way through to welcoming our guests on the weekend of the wedding. We really couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue, it was so difficult to leave it behind once the wedding was over and we can’t wait to come back and visit again soon! We honestly can’t recommend Homme House enough and are so incredibly thankful to Charlie and Sarah for being such an integral part of our absolute dream wedding.

We have had the most amazing experience with Charlie & Sarah, from the first time we visited - to the wedding day. They offer so much more than the location itself, and we couldn´t be happier with the whole process. They have been so helpful, especially as we have been doing the majority of our wedding planning whilst living in a different country. The resources they provided for us to simplify our planning process were also great. They helped us make sure all the key elements were in place well before, and during the big day, and they were great with communication through emails, Zoom meetings, and of course during our visits to Homme House. 10/10 recommend!

We had the most amazing wedding at Homme House this May - we cannot recommend it enough from the relaxed atmosphere, stunning surroundings and amazing team headed by Charlie and Sarah. Homme House is a beautiful venue, and pictures do not do the house and gardens justice. All of our guests, kept asking us 'where did you find this venue, it is amazing'. Charlie and Sarah are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble and they provide amazing support with a good sense of humour and wisdom showing the professionals they are. They also have the patience and flexibility when anything goes different to planned and are very accommodating. The ability to have guests stay on site the day before and the day of the wedding enabled us to have the sociable wedding we wanted and cannot be understated. Homme House is such a special place, and the day couldn't have gone any better and we cannot thank Charlie and Sarah enough!

Myself and my wife still can't get over how well the whole day went. The owners at Homme house made sure everything was taken care of. Wether it's an autumn ,spring or a summer wedding it's built for it all.
