Weddings at Heathy Lea take place over a whole weekend. Your wedding party takes all our accommodation for three nights, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We can accommodate up to 24 people in four self catering cottages and 5 luxury shepherds huts. A marquee is erected on the lawn overlooking Chatsworth Park which can accommodate various party sizes from 60 up to 150 seated guests, an additional catering marquee and luxury loo block are also provided. You are then free to organise your weekend exactly as you wish. Unlike other wedding venues we don’t have any rules and regulations. You have exclusive use of the accommodation and the grounds and plan your wedding exactly as you choose, as if you were getting married in your own home. You decide on the timetable of your day and you decide what time your bar will close and what time your music ends…………. You are also free to decorate the marquee and the grounds in whatever way you choose whether you want fairy lights in the railings and the trees, or lanterns and candles all around the gardens, or a specially ‘themed’ look, whatever your imagination will let you dream up! The summer house at the end of the lawn is licensed for wedding ceremonies if you want to get married here or you can get married at a church and then use Heathy Lea for your reception. You can also use the marquee on the Sunday for another event such as an afternoon tea party, a barbeque or a picnic…… You also have the use of a utility room that is filled with refrigerators that you can stock with your own drinks a few days before your wedding and your caterers can use throughout the weekend. This is accessed directly from the garden and has a loo adjoining it for the use of anyone working for you.
