Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway Station

The wedding was the best day of my life! The team the the railway made the planning stage so easy and nothing was too much trouble for them... all of my needs were catered for and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Thankyou so much for making the day so special, a day we won't forget!

What an incredible setting for a wedding! Took place in ticket office, followed by journey on steam train!! Staff couldn’t do enough! If I ever get married again, I’m doing it here!!!

A very big thank you again to all the team at the railway for making the day so special, everyone said it was the best wedding they had been too, so many lovely memories. You are all a brilliant team and you Ryan were so helpful, especially when my daughter's boyfriend was slightly ill! And I know all the party revellers really appreciated late night kebabs.

We held our marriage ceremony and wedding breakfast at the railway ~ ceremony in the booking office and the reception on the steam train, Beatrice, as we travelled up and down the line. My bridesmaid and I arrived in style via the steam train from Embsay to meet the guests at Bolton Abbey. The train crew were wonderful, there wasn’t a thing they weren’t prepared to do for us to make our day special. Stephen Walker, the station manager, was fantastic both in helping us arrange our day but also ensuring everything went as planned. Sue from Heavenly Teas provided a superb high tea for us all and there was an abundance of beautifully freshly prepared food. Not once were we rushed and we were made to feel so very welcome and special. Words can not describe how amazing and unique our day was, we are just sorry it is over but we have the most amazing memories. We loved every second of our day on the wedding train ~ beautiful food, wonderful people, stunning scenery, spotlessly clean railway station and fantastic steam train. Thank you so very very much.
