Ivy House Country Hotel

We had the best wedding day we could of ever hoped for at the ivy hotel, the surroundings were so beautiful and all of our guests commented what a perfect venue it really was.

Wow. Wow. Wow. The Ivy House Country Hotel hosted our wedding reception in the Ivy Hall on Saturday 10th August and it was nothing other than perfection. It all started a year and a half ago when we booked our date with Hannah Javes. Nothing was too much trouble and she was amazing organising the admin side. Communication was excellent. Then our wedding coordinator on the day Emma and her daughter Caitlin plus the other waitresses and staff were phenomenal setting up and doing everything they could to make sure our day went to plan. It certainly did! The three course sit down meal and bbq was excellent and everyone was so complimentary so thank you to the Chef! The service was so complimentary. Myself and the bridal party got ready in The Rose Suite on the wedding morning and it has the perfect space to get ready in. The organisation of decor was fantastic and I didn’t have to worry about anything whilst I was getting ready. I had Emma’s mobile number and we communicated well. The honeymoon suite was clean, tidy, beautiful and had a lovely view onto the lawn with some decking. Ivy House provided a beautiful setting for our wedding with plenty of accommodation on site and a dedicated wedding space for our evening party that meant no other guests were nearby. Our dog was allowed to be with us for the ceremony, which was an absolute must for us so we were really pleased the venue could accommodate! We had lovely barbecue food plated to the tables which was tasty but still fairly casual rather than “posh” which was exactly what we wanted as we are fussy eaters and we had a lot of children at the wedding. The children who attended absolutely loved Ivy Hall as they had space to run around, dance and get out some big floor puzzles and stay entertained. It was very family friendly and I was so pleased to see the kids having so much fun. The staff on the day couldn’t have been more helpful - if I asked for something they provided it and they were all really friendly. We had good comments from our guests about the staff at the hotel as well! Getting ready at the venue was also really great; as we had a dedicated dressing room with lots of space for hair and makeup and a curtained area for changing. My 4 year old niece really enjoyed the selection boxes of cereal and the continental breakfast we got on the morning of the wedding! Overall, we had a really happy day and would recommend the venue to other couples.

We had the most wonderful wedding day! The barn, grounds and reception area were beautiful. Our guests were able to spend time outside on the lawn playing games in the sunshine. The photo opportunities around the grounds were great and we have some stunning photos. We chose the BBQ option for out guests as we wanted a more relaxed feel and the food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The wedding co-ordinators Hannah and Angela were very friendly and helpful. They listened to what we wanted our day to feel like and delivered that- thank you! Some of our guests stayed in rooms that night (at great rates) and joined us for breakfast the next day which was a great way to finish off the wedding celebrations. We had so many of our friends saying they had a brilliant day and how great the venue was. I would definitely recommend to others looking for their perfect wedding venue.

From the first time we met Hannah and viewed the venue, we knew it was the one. The whole team have been absolutely incredible from the moment we booked until the day we said I do. Nothing was too much for Hannah or Angie, in fact the whole team were lovely and helpful. Being a bride is so exiting but at the same time very scary, but Angie made sure I was ok all day and checked on us constantly. The team corresponded with our other vendors, which took a massive pressure off of me and the whole day was perfect. Our families have told us since that it was the best day ever, and to us it really was. We are so happy that we chose Ivy House for our wedding day. We couldn’t fault the staff or venue in any way. The entire process from booking to afterwards has been enjoyable and smooth. Hannah and Ange were fantastic throughout! We, and our guests, have not stopped talking about our day. Our guests have commented that if anybody should get married, they should pick Ivy House!

Where do I even start, Ivy House is truly beautiful! We couldn't have wished for anywhere better for our wedding! From the moment we went to view Ivy House it took our breath away, Hannah who looked after us for our viewing appointment spent over an hour with us showing us around going through absolutely everything in such detail, dealing with all our appointments then handing us over to our Wedding supervisor Angela who looked after us and made sure everything ran smoothly and was perfect on our day! We couldn't have asked or wished for more from them! Not only Hannah and Angela, but every member of staff went above and beyond for us from the moment of booking, to turning up the day before to set everything up right through till the moment we went home. Everything was absolutely perfect! Keith and his team done the most amazing job with the food, it was all absolutely spot on! Absolutely everyone one of our guests said how amazing the food was and how amazing Ivy House is and what a perfect day it was. We are so grateful to everyone at Ivy House! We truly could not have wished for any more from Ivy House. Was a truly perfect day! Would absolutely recommend Ivy House to anyone! Thank you again to everyone at Ivy House! Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be at The Ivy hotel. We felt really looked after on the day and all the details we asked for were sorted. We had the ceremony in the beautiful barn and then made the most of all the fairy lights in the main hall and outside during our evening reception, everyone commented on how pretty it was. Thanks to the location of the Ivy we also have some wonderful wedding photos with some beautiful scenery behind us. We were also able to have our dog be there for some of the photos which was amazing. The perfect day overall.

From our first meeting the bridal team were great, nothing was too much trouble, the team on the day were great. I would recommend Ivy House to anyone.
