- SStuart and Emma14/12/2025The best wedding experience on the dayThe best wedding experience on the dayOn the run up to the wedding, we found communication with the team to be slow and found it difficult booking guest accommodation. They were unsure of when renovations were going to be complete and in fact our chosen chapel was not ready for us to get married in and we were only informed of this a week before the wedding. They did offer us a complementary prosecco tower at the wedding to make up for this though (which was a lovely photo opportunity!) However, on the weekend of the wedding the team were AMAZING. On the Friday we were met by manager and had a run through of everything. Then in the evening we booked a private dining room and the team were so attentative and even provided us with complementary drinks. On the morning of the wedding they seamlessly directed all wedding suppliers to where they needed to be and helped with a flowers crisis. All day they directed my husband and I to where we needed to be and NOTHING was too much trouble. The guests were blown away with the venue and the attention to detail. All the staff went above and beyond to make it special for us, the food was outstanding and my husband had been a chef all his life so they had expectations to hit which they did! The service and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous all of our guests were well looked after and the venue itself is just insanely beautiful would defo recommend to anyone considering booking here! We tied the knot at this beautiful venue in July and what a day it was! Even right up to the final moments when I had to change the seating plan, they handled everything calmly and made sure all the stress was completely taken off me. Our guests were so well looked after, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The views are truly breathtaking, and the grounds are beautifully kept, making the whole day feel even more magical. There was always a member of staff nearby if anything was needed, which gave us total peace of mind. We honestly cannot wait to return, just to take in those stunning views again and see the amazing staff. The staff were so attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of, our wedding was the day after the Whitby fires which obviously made us so anxious. The staff made sure my groom and his party had rooms available instantly for the night before so they didn’t have to travel, they made us feel so relaxed, happy and at ease with the plans. And the venue itself? Simply amazing! The views were breathtaking, creating the most magical backdrop for our special day. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. All of my guests said this was their best wedding ever and that they couldn’t have imagined how beautiful the venue was. Our day couldn’t have gone any better, and in the end, all the stress led us to the place we were meant to be. We feel so lucky to have found Grand Villa Heights. Highly recommended! The honeymoon suite was the cherry on top. It was beautifully designed, spacious, and so luxurious that it genuinely felt like we had escaped abroad. The staff were incredibly helpful on the whole experience which took so much stress off of the the wedding details, let alone pulling off last minute bliss when the weather wasn’t on our side. We will always look back on our big day with not one regret because every single minute of the experience was so special at Grand Villa Heights! XOur fairytale wedding came true at this venue, we have had so many previous memories here and there could be no other place for our big day. The staff were incredibly helpful on the whole experience which took so much stress off of the the wedding details, let alone pulling off last minute bliss when the weather wasn’t on our side. Co-ordinator Lauren and the Grand Villa Height’s team are incredible wedding daymakers!We had booked our wedding when this venue was Raven Hall Hotel, however when The Apartment Group had purchased the business, we were apprehensive about what changes would occur. From January onwards, we saw the wonderful transformation, which elevated this venue, made it an amazing and even better place to get married! We had a twilight wedding and got married on 31 July at Grand Villa Heights. We loved that we could get married on the grounds looking out onto Ravenscar and Robin Hood’s Bay. We also loved that the wedding meal and evening events was in the large, spacious function room which looked out onto Robin Hood’s Bay. The Grand Villa Height’s team were extremely accommodating, supportive and ran the evening’s ceremony with precision and ease. Wedding co-ordinator Lauren and the team met our guests’ dietary needs and accessibility requirements for individuals staying overnight at the hotel. Lauren also did a brilliant job of hiding the delightful, talented and iconic New York Brass Band from our guests, until it was time for them to gatecrash the end of the speeches and get the party started, which they did with gusto! Thank you, Lauren, Rachelle, MC Andrew, John, the chefs, Andy as well as the hotel and bar staff for making it an extremely fun, relaxed and memorable wedding for us!
