Our approach to creating your dream wedding is to stray away from the 'norm'. We offer both 3-day and 1-day wedding packages, where we give you complete freedom to enjoy our venue and surrounding space. The experienced event team is on hand to bring your dream day to life. An on-site wedding coordinator specialises in collaborating and creating wedding experiences that are completely bespoke to you. They arrange everything from the ceremony to the reception. The dedicated co-ordinator is happy to recommend trusted vendors for all your entertainment, beauty, wedding cake, photography, and floristry needs. Our 3-day wedding is perfect for those wanting to extend their celebrations, giving you and your guests the opportunity to relax and fully immerse yourself in the idyllic Northumberland countryside. With our accommodation merely a stone’s throw and exclusively yours for two nights, we have all the ingredients for making sure you have a stress-free wedding. Our 1-day wedding option provides a more traditional choice of celebrating your wedding in a single day, without compromising the outstanding beauty and impeccable service our venue has to offer. At Doxford Barns, we can host up to 43 overnight guests in our cosy guest cottages. Each cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room, a wood-burning stove, and much more. Here, your nearest and dearest can enjoy a peaceful stay surrounded by scenic beauty.

- AAmy & Craig27/09/2025The BEST Day 🥹The BEST Day 🥹Wow. We had the most amazing day, better than we ever imagined🥹 I truly wish we could do it all again! The venue speaks for itself, outstandingly beautiful in all aspects. The staff were an absolute dream from start to finish, so helpful, happy & accomodating! The food was phenomenal, my husband is a very fussy man and he loved everything during the menu tasting experience. Can’t thank everyone involved enough for helping to make our day exactly what we wanted 🤍Wow. We had the most amazing day, better than we ever imagined🥹 I truly wish we could do it all again! My wife and I were totally blown away by the ceremony space and loved how cute and quirkly all the little spaces were. The staff venue were totally on board with all the silly little ideas I had and were so happy to accomodate. Had an absolutely fantastic day and would reccomend this venue to anyone looking for a truly magical experience!From our first viewing at Doxford Barns, I knew it was the one. - RRebecca & Allistair21/06/2024I didn't stop smiling all day!I didn't stop smiling all day!We absolutely loved the court yard, lots of different spaces but we liked that everyone was going to be together. A big plus was that Polly our dog was allowed everywhere! The coop was the best thing, all my bridesmaids could get ready together, highly recommend, couldn't imagine not having the coop & the staircase, fabulous. Charlotte was great, I often felt like some of my questions she would think 'what now??' but I was never made to feel that. On the day the staff couldn't do enough for us! We absolutely loved the court yard, lots of different spaces but we liked that everyone was going to be together. A big plus was that Polly our dog was allowed everywhere! We loved both the threshing hall & great barn for their unique vibe and straight away pictured our friends & family celebrating our day there. We loved the menu tasting night it gave us an insight to the amazing quality of food that would be served. Jess was always contactable throughout the whole process. We wanted a big space where our guests would feel relaxed & comfortable & ready to party of course. The amount of accommodation on site was very important to us. Jess Rix, Heidi & the bar staff were all absolutely fantastic. Everyone we dealt with were so helpful & lovely. The day ran like a dream, it was so well organised & ran smoothly, we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Just a huge thank you to all involved! Our wedding was organised and seamless with everything in place when we needed it. The rustic feel to the venue was exactly what we wanted and we were allowed to make it our own with no questions asked. On the morning of the wedding, our wedding organiser ensured we were feeling calm and ready with no worries or concerns and we all knew exactly what we were doing. The bar and catering staff were extremely helpful and answered any questions we had. The guests commented on the beautiful venue and particularly how delicious the food was. It was the first one we viewed and we just fell in love, every place after that just didn’t compare. Every part of it is so beautiful and romantic and so well thought out. We have family all over the country so having a place where everyone could get together and spend a couple of days together was ideal! The cottages are lovely and all our family have been raving about them and the whole wedding since they got home! We were looked after so well by Jess, our wedding coordinator, and the whole team from the start who helped us to shape our perfect day and bring it all together, so thank you! The food is to die for and there is something to cater for everyone, which is another thing all our guests have been raving about too! Also, being able to have our dogs as such a big part of the day was the cherry on top of the cake! All in all we had a day even more perfect than we dreamed of and we would do it all over again! What time should I book my ceremony?
For our one day weddings, our recommended ceremony time is 2pm. For three day weddings, we recommend 1pm, but this can be changed to suit your plans! Guests may arrive one hour prior to the ceremony time. To book your ceremony, you will need to contact Northumberland Registrars to arrange your legal ceremony. Or you may choose to have your ceremony hosted by a Celebrant.

How many dishes can I offer to my guests for my wedding breakfast?
You can choose up to three different options per course from our wedding breakfast menu, we do recommend including one vegetarian option.

Do you cater for vegan and gluten free?
We have a vegan and vegetarian menu as part of our wedding breakfast menu. Our chefs can also cater for all kinds of allergies and make adaptions where required. Please speak directly with the wedding team for more information, but rest assured we will look after all of your guest's dietary requirements!
Can I stay onsite the night before?
Yes! We have The Coop available to book for the night prior to your wedding, which sleeps eight guests and designed perfectly for getting ready before your ceremony.
With our three day weddings, you would also have access to all our cottages the night before and night of your wedding.
Our main accommodation sleeps 43 guests across eight cottages. We also have two glamping pods, and two extra cottages located behind the venue. In total 53 can stay onsite. Our one day weddings have access to the accommodation for the night of the wedding from 3pm. Our three day weddings have access to the accommodation from 3pm the night prior to the wedding.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Our Pulled beef brisket Yorkshire pudding with crispy onions is always a favourite with our guests!
Do couple's get a Menu tasting?
You will be invited for a complimentary menu tasting around six to nine months prior to your wedding date. The perfect opportunity to try different dishes and design your menu.
What is your venue's most unique feature?
Our Threshing Hall ceremony barn has all its original features, so truly is a beautiful and unique space to say I do!
Do I get assigned a wedding coordinator?
You will be assigned one of our amazing wedding coordinators approximately four to six months before your wedding. They will invite you for a planning meeting and be your main point of contact.
