Dovecote Barn, a Grade II listed building that is full of character and charm featuring exposed brickwork and oak beams, has been lovingly restored and licensed for civil weddings, partnership ceremonies and the renewal of vows. With it's naturally beautiful appearance, the barn is set to be the perfect backdrop to your special day. In summer months, surrounded by serene countryside and under the canopy of giant lime trees, The Paddock is now available for ceremonies to take place outdoors. For something extra special, Dovecote Events is the proud owner of a five-hat giant Tipi, the most wonderful setting for your very own festival-style wedding. The hire of Dovecote Barn for your ceremony and drinks reception is also included in the tipi price! With a history of providing delicious catering we also provide all wedding catering in-house, saving you the efforts of searching for your own. We have a selection of sumptuous menus available or can provide bespoke menus if you have something a little different in mind. Dovecote Barn and The Tipi vary in price between days of the week and months of the year. The hire prices for each venue include the hire of Dovecote Barn for your ceremony and are inclusive of VAT. Please see below for venue hire prices for Dovecote Barn and The Tipi. The Paddock is available to hire for outdoor ceremonies between early May and early October. It is an additional £375 to hire The Paddock for your outdoor ceremony. For pricing ranges from 2025 to 2026: Hire of Dovecote Barn ranges from £3,950 to £6,150 (for tipi pricing, please see below). Included with Dovecote Barn ceremony and receptions: • Hire of Dovecote Barn for your wedding ceremony • Exclusive use of the venue on your chosen date • Free daytime corkage (applies to single welcome drink, wedding breakfast wine and single toast drink) • Surrounding outdoor courtyard, lawns and paddock for drinks and photographs • Stylish bar area with fully stocked and staffed bar right up until midnight Hire of the Tipi ranges from £9,050 to £12,250. For 2024 from £70 per person you will receive a sumptuous classic three-course meal or fun and sociable two-course sharing platter. A perfect start to married life!

Everything was wonderful and flawless. But where Dovecote really shines is with the staff: everyone was eager to be helpful, kind, polite, and service with a smile. They made us feel special, and cared for our guests just the same. Nothing was too much for them. Everything was where it should be and the day went without any problems whatsoever. I can say with all my heart that Dovecote is highly recommended as a wedding venue - it was a perfect start to married life.

It was an ideal setting for our special day.

Could not recommend Dovecote enough!! We chose the venue for our wedding as it provided everything we had hoped for … rural setting, barn ceremony and most importantly a huge tipi. It was an ideal setting for our special day. The beautiful barn was perfect for the ceremony, and the drinks reception afterwards on the patio was relaxed with ample space for guests to sit, the confetti throw and photos. All of the staff we so helpful and friendly from the initial planning stages to the day itself.

The most magical day

We fell in love with Dovecote immediately. As soon as we got there, the barn, the grounds and the staff showing us around were incredible. We felt so at ease and relaxed we knew from that moment this was our venue. Throughout the whole process the staff were amazing, answered all of our questions, nothing was to much trouble. We had private food tastings, run throughs, and meetings to iron out all the details, Lauren, Cece and the team wee amazing. We chose the barn for our day and it was beautiful, you really didn't need much decor as its got such charm already, the lanterns and candles we chose set of the rustic theme beautifully. We ordered the chargrill sharer menu and the food was just incredible and guests are still talking about how amazing our meal was, you definitely don't go hungry either. If i could redo the whole day i wouldn't change a thing and that really is down to the venue and its staff who make the day run smoothly and go the extra mile whenever its needed, nothing is too much trouble, Lauren, Cece and the team are warm, friendly and attentive and helped make our day so special and memorable. Our wedding was magical, better than we could of dreamed and it's all thanks to Dovecote. I can wholly recommend to any couple who want to celebrate their love, choose Dovecote, thank you so much to Lauren, Cece and the whole team.

Our Perfect Wedding at Dovecote

From the first time we set foot in Dovecote we knew it was where we wanted to get married. From the warm welcome we had from Melanie, to the beautiful barn, stunning tipi and spectacular grounds, we were blown away. Every step of the way the whole team were so helpful, and left us feeling so excited and stress-free going into the day. The private food tasting with Lauren, Tom and Matthew was a real highlight and our dietary requirements were catered for so thoughtfully - huge thank you to chefs Tim (x2) and team. Setting up the tipi the day before the wedding could not have gone smoother thanks to so many of the team being available to support. And of course, the day itself was perfect and everything that we hoped it would be, special thanks to Lauren for accepting my last minute deliveries and ensuring everything ran so smoothly, with Cece, Tom and co. All of our guests commented on how beautiful our venue was, and we couldn’t be happier that we chose you. We cannot wait to find an excuse to come back and see you all soon!

We had the most amazing wedding at Dovecote, we used the barn for the ceremony and then the tipi. The whole process was so seamless, from viewing the venue, to booking, trying the food (which is fantastic), setting the venue up the day before and the main day! The whole team was so helpful and having Melanie to coordinate on the day meant it was a hands off, stress free wedding. The venue itself is so beautiful and having everything in one place meant everyone stayed together. Don’t hesitate to book this venue!!!

There are just too many to choose from, but my favourite has to be a beautiful hot day, the tipi looked wonderful and everyone was lapping up the sun and not wanting to complain, but it was so hot!!! It hadn't rained for weeks. Then there was a clap of thunder and a sudden downpour. The children and guests ran outside to dance in the rain...what a brilliant moment!
