Croydon Hall is a hidden diamond in a beautiful location on Exmoor. When looking for a venue I wanted a personal experience and not just being defined as a date and colour scheme and I certainly got this. From start to finish we felt were treated as if this was the only wedding they were dealing with and we felt important from the time we arrived. Everything we asked for was no problem and even tho we were in June and the weather was risky they went out of their way to move the ceremony time slightly so we could get married between showers. I cannot praise Jeremy and his team enough, I see a lot of venues being a wedding florist and they are the most helpful and caring team you could wish for! I will certainly be recommending them!

Until we came across Croydon Hall, we knew we hadn’t found ‘the one’ - and then the second we walked through the doors and met Jeremy, Nicky and the team, that was it. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning and has an amazing atmosphere, but the team absolutely make it - we could not fault the communication, support, inspiration, and care the team showed our big day. We wanted lanterns down the aisle, but they didn’t have any - so they built them for us. We wanted a live stream and recording of the ceremony for those who couldn’t join us but the WiFi in the garden wasn’t strong enough - so they sorted it. They took all the stress away from the planning and everything in their stride. I actually don’t have any words for the sheer artistry Rylene achieved in the barn, decorating for our wedding breakfast. It was simply, down to the very last detail, absolutely everything we dreamed off. The classiest, dreamiest vision. The day went off without a hitch and that’s all down to the CH team. Thank you isn’t enough, but it’s all we have - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for putting so much love into our day. As an aside, I would recommend anyone getting married to do a BBQ or meal on the Friday night - it totally made our weekend, everyone was so much more relaxed going into the wedding day and made it feel like a whole event rather than just a day - you actually get to spend time with your guests, and each other, that way!

Thank you so much for showing us around too, we totally fell in love with Croydon Hall. We have chosen our date and will be booking our wedding for next year. Excited already!

Jeremy, Rylene, and all the amazing staff at Croydon Hall, a huge thank you to you all for making our daughter’s wedding such a perfect, special and memorable day. From start to finish everything was perfect and nothing was too much trouble. I have already recommended Croydon Hall to three of my friends for their daughters’ weddings! I’m delighted to say the wedding was a great success. The weather was glorious (I think I got a tan!) and I took some amazing photos. I loved working at Croydon Hall, it is a fantastic venue, the sky is the limit. The grounds are beautiful, you have spaces for indoor and outdoor weddings, the hotel is amazing, and you were all a pleasure to work with. You have honestly been so brilliant throughout the whole process so far and were a big part of our decision to book Croydon Hall because we have felt in such incredibly safe hands. Can't wait for our big day!

We had to select Croydon Hall almost based solely on their website as we are living in America. We did however do a video tour to see more of the venue and all it had to offer. The venue was perfect for the size of our wedding (60 guests) and could have accommodated more with ease. We had exclusive use by virtue of reserving all the rooms for traveling guests which gave us full run of all aspects of the venue. It seemed highly unusual for us to have a wedding venue from Friday afternoon until well into Sunday. The venue has a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces that allow flexibility for wedding planning (and the British weather!). The Italian garden is a prime outdoor location with a thoughtful accessible layout and views over the Quantock hills. The barn was incredible - a largely unassuming structure from the outside, it was transformed by Rylene into a dream setting for our wedding breakfast. Amazingly all decorations were provided by Croydon Hall and were included in our wedding price. The interior of the hall is decorated in a modern, elegant fashion with enough bling to satisfy most people while including cosy areas to relax. The drawing room includes a feature fireplace and can serve multiple purposes from indoor wedding location, to dining room , to disco as required. The bedrooms are all uniquely furnished as you might expect in a boutique hotel. At the time of writing there is no lift to the rooms however i understand this may be added in future. The Hall includes an imposing staircase, suited for photographs . Staff: the staff were truly incredible from the moment we got in touch. Nicky answered all of our questions and helped find local vendors that gave us confidence in our choice. Jeremy (the owner) proved to be a Jack of all trades in terms of wedding planning and serving as our toastmaster. Mark (the GM) appears to have incredible mind reading skills - we lost track of the times when we needed something and Mark showed up with it in hand instantaneously. It should have been really hard for us to plan a full scale wedding in the UK from the USA, but Jeremy and his team made it ridiculously easy. As an aside, if you visit Croydon Hall, you may be concerned about the narrow country lanes leading up to it. All of our guests including many from the US driving in the UK for the first time managed to find the venue and get there without any issues. Food: the wedding breakfast was delicious. Breakfast for guests staying the night was filling and a traditional English breakfast with continental options. Other things of note: the venue includes a heated pool and also a spa room. The property while on Exmoor actually faces the Quantock Hills and the Bristol Channel can be seen from the grounds. The story behind the property is that Jeremy bought it “derelict” during the pandemic and has restored it in the time since - it’s transformation is tasteful , charming and perfect for weddings.
