Nestled within 247 acres of picturesque Sussex countryside, Cottesmore offers an enchanting setting, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The charming courtyard, complete with its elegant fountain, reflects the character of the original farm buildings dating back to 1884, adding a touch of history and romance to your day.
Whether you dream of an intimate celebration or a grand affair, our venue can accommodate up to 150 guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for your evening reception. With breathtaking views and timeless elegance, Cottesmore is the perfect place to begin your forever.
Exchange your vows in our stunning oak-beamed Barn room or choose an outdoor setting on our beautiful lawn for an elegant al fresco ceremony.

Start your day in style in our luxurious Getting Ready Room, designed for comfort, convenience and lots of smiles!

Our charming courtyard makes the perfect setting for sipping a chilled flute of bubbly or glass of summer Pimms and sampling our delicious canapés. Your own private vintage Horsebox bar will be open to serve your guests drinks before and after your wedding ceremony. It is also a great place for memorable photos and that all important confetti shot.

Our Challis Suite has been designed with a contemporary feel in mind. It is adorned with mirrors, chandelier lights with light wooden floors and a calming interior. Floor to ceiling windows overlook our French Styled courtyard complete with original fountain. The Bar is in the same room, which is high up on everyone's wish list and open until 12.30am.

So if you are having a church wedding and holding your wedding reception here, you do not pay the £750.00. You can then choose to pay for the Getting Ready room or get ready at home

The service from the initial enquiry through to our wedding day was exceptional from all members of staff that we spoke to. Jackie and Julie in the events team are fantastic, they made the planning process smooth sailing as they are so lovely, efficient and accommodating. All my questions were answered promptly and nothing was ever too much trouble. We got married in October and kept our decorations minimal as the venue decor is already so beautiful. The food was delicious and the hotel rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Our family and friends were all so complimentary of the venue and day overall! Everything you’d want or need from a wedding venue you can find here. We had an amazing time and a day we’ll never forget. We had such a wonderful day and so many of our guests raved about the venue. We loved the outdoor ceremony area, it was stunning in the sunshine as was the courtyard for reception drinks. The service we received from Jackie & Julie was incredible from start to finish, they were clear on the important bits and it always felt like they were excited with us. Jackie/Julie (the wedding coordinators) were always so incredibly helpful, always answer any questions, and put everything at ease. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, kept me updated on vendors, and was the calm in the fun chaos of the day. Kerry on reception was amazing at sorting out all our rooms for the night before and the night of the wedding. She also kept me updated throughout, and juggled rooms to ensure every guest was comfortable. The catering team of chefs, servers, bar staff, breakfast staff all super friendly, helpful, smiley and was never such a thing as a problem for them. We opted for the BBQ options of reception breakfast and WOW! Every single guest commented on how incredible the food was. The canapés were outstanding. The turnover of weddings could’ve been stressful but they handled it with ease, no tension and just honestly didn’t even notice it as a guest! The maintenance staff were on it. There was 3 weddings in a row on the weekend we got married but that didn’t phase them, and we would never have known there was other weddings. They got the courtyard spotless before each one, all the flowers were beautifully blooming (perfect for the photos) and every room was cleaned. We were able to get a golf buggy down to the lake to be able to get some good shots. Even the golfers were lovely!! There’s a lovely getting ready room with everything you should need. Breakfast can be brought to you. All our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was and how the rooms are dressed so elegantly with stunning views/balcony's. Overall, as the bride, the whole experience was outstanding, the grounds are to die for and perfect for the photography, they are organised and i believe brilliant value for money overall. Both Jackie and Julie were always on hand and very quick to answer any of my questions. We had a lovely menu tasting as part of the planning process and all the food was really tasty. Our wedding day itself was the best day and all our guests commented on what a lovely venue it is. We had most of our guests stay at Cottesmore and with only a small amount of bedrooms, and all of them taken by our guests, it felt a little more exclusive to us and our wedding party which was nice. I booked the getting ready room for me, my mum and my 5 bridesmaids to get ready in which is such a lovely little room, just perfect for a relaxing morning of hair and makeup, we had so much room in there too for the 7 of us! Operations Manager Luke was brilliant and so helpful with all the little bits I was stressing about, nothing was too much trouble. Cottesmore is owned by a family partnership and the original building suffered a devastating fire in the summer of 2018. The silver lining is that it has been rebuilt with plenty of charm and character, with multi faceted function space, perfect for weddings
