Carrick Castle Estate is a destination wedding venue on the West coast of Scotland nestled amongst hills, trees and overlooking Loch Goil. The Rustic Barn established in 2018 has been exceptionally popular offering DIY and all-inclusive wedding packages for up to 120 guests along with accommodation for up to 22 guests in luxury accommodation. We are also delighted to be able to offer couples small and intimate weddings up to 22 from Oct. to Mar. in the luxury Lodge.

The accommodation was spacious, clean and had everything we could ever need. Everyone staying here LOVED our weekend together. It was perfect to relax by the hot tub, swim in the loch and had plenty of storage for all the food and drinks! We loved the garden space and being surrounded by the hills. It was so serene and picturesque everywhere you looked! From the very first moment of planning, we knew we were in good hands. The venue itself was a dream come true. The accommodation was spacious, clean and had everything we could ever need. Everyone staying here LOVED our weekend together. It was perfect to relax by the hot tub, swim in the loch and had plenty of storage for all the food and drinks! We loved the garden space and being surrounded by the hills. We absolutely loved our time there and guests still talk about the incredible views and the accommodation! Hannah and the team were so accommodating and made everything easy in the run up to and on our big day! We had a very rainy day but despite this the day was fantastic, we loved going up to the waterfall in the jeep! We would do it again in a heartbeat! The party continued into the barn for the evening and it was a mixture of simple elegance yet fun and relaxed. We were able to completely bespoke our day to exactly how we wanted it. My family often say how much they’d love to go back and stay for a special occasion. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic location for their wedding. GETTING HERE
Please note that the GPS will not get you to the final destination. The last place to fill up is Arrochar filling station coming from Glasgow or Strachur coming from Dunoon.
Using a GPS to reach Carrick Castle our postcode is PA24 8AF or follow signs from Lochgoilhead.
BY ROAD FROM GLASGOW
Follow the A82 along the side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet.
From Tarbet take the A83 through Arrochar to the Rest & Be Thankful (NB. The filling station in Arrochar is the closest garage to fill up with fuel coming from Glasgow side, the closest from Dunoon is Strachur).
Turn left onto the B828 and onto the B839 to Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle.
Before the humpback bridge into Lochgoilhead turn right towards Carrick Castle – this is clearly signposted. Follow the road for 5 miles.
Approximately 200m after the Carrick Castle sign at the entrance of the village you will see the lodge up a dirt track on the right-hand side. You will see a large wooden barn with the newly built lodge to the left, this is your destination.
If you reach the castle you have gone too far - turn around and drive just over half a mile, and then turn off to the lodge will now be on your left-hand side after a small bridge
